Poundex PU Upholstered Platform Bed, Twin, White

I bought two twin beds .they were easy for my husband to assemble and pretty sturdy .great bed for the price . I laid in the bed with my 3y/o daughter until she fell asleep and I’m 165 pounds.

Super easy to put together with tools provided, very sturdy and looks great in the room.

We ordered this twice. The first time UPS lost it, this time we finally got it. This is to be a new bed for my 2 year old. The original plan was to have it on the floor so that she doesn't fall far. Luckily that was what we wanted, because our bed was missing the 2 middle side legs. These are meant to hold the 2 halved of the bed together. It's not a big deal since we want it on the floor, but beware if you're planning to use it as a real bed. It has a low weight rating of 250lb as well, so don't plan to cuddle with older children on this!I will say that aside from the missing piece, this bed was incredibly easy to assemble.

My daughter has had this frame for about 8 months after one week she broke the wooden bars under the mattress from jumping. Since then I've had to put big pieces of plywood under the mattress. But it is a good transition from crib or toddler bed. Just not sure it will be sturdy enough for her to use for a few years. But over all I'm pretty happy with the purchase. My stop son put the frame together by himself so it's easy to assemble.

Overall, I am happy with our purchase and want that to be understood before I go into the things I was/am annoyed with. The bed feels sturdy and I like the fact that the slats are metal instead of wood. The P/U covering can wipe clean easily, the sides are soft, and the mattress feels well supported. It took two of us maybe an hour and a half to put together.My biggest complaints -1) There were two screws missing - one for securing the foot board to the running board and one for securing one end of a slat. They gave me two extra washers though so I'm guessing just a mix up at the manufacturing plant. Thankfully we had screws in the house that would work because we started putting it together after dinner and had completely demolished our daughter's ability to sleep without this bed being finished.2) The mattress area is slightly smaller than the area of the metal slats. If the bed is perfectly centered you have probably about an inch and a half on each side of visible slat under the mattress. I have a special needs child who I do not want to have any access to getting her foot stuck so we had to roll sheets to put between the bed and the wall so that the outside edge of the mattress was flush with the bed. Not a big deal, but for my personal circumstance.. annoying.3) I like the metal slats for their stability, but since the mattress is not fit snugly in the frame it has the potential to slide on the metal slats a bit. Just think kid dive bombing their bed and the mattress is going to shift some.4) The legs of the bed came a little dinged up, nothing major, but two of them also had a very sticky substance on them.. possibly the adhesive for the pads that are on the bottom of the feet.5) My biggest complaint and one I have read on another post is the smell. We got the bed all put together and despite our challenges all seemed fine. We put my daughter to bed and I went in a couple of hours later to cover her back up and the smell in her room was horrendous. I can't accurately describe the smell, but it was definitely the P/U cover I'm guessing, perhaps mixed with the grease that was on the screws (that yes left a fine oil sheen on my fingers while putting together). I had to open the door while she slept so that the room could air out. Within five minutes of opening the door (I had run downstairs for a few minutes) I could smell the smell half way up the staircase. The second night the smell was better, but still there so we kept her door open again. Tonight is the third night and I'm counting on it continuing to get better.I hope this makes it easier for some folks to make a decision when purchasing.

I’d say within 2 months, the bed broke. The headboard with all the pieces came broken already! It should be a sturdy wood, not whatever caulk-board quality it is. I did replace it with a sturdier wood though so i guess it was easily repairable if you buy a replacement. Second, the wooden pallets under the bed that holds up the bed snapped in half in the middle. It’s wooden, but not sturdy at all! Very like, bendy i would say. If the wood they use were to be stronger, it would 100% be so great. But it’s cheap quality. I’m very disappointed. Also, i ordered it in pink, and it came with this dark pink. i thought it would be lighter or pastel pink, as it looked in the picture, and i’m very dissatisfied with the color because i really like light pink and dislike dark pink. Overall. i’ll try to be gentle with the bed and endure it, but if you’re ordering it for a young kid who’s very playful and fools around, i would be cautious with the bed ! It can easily break. I have to get on it with caution, hoping the headboard doesn’t fall apart. I also wouldn’t recommend anyone over 160 pounds for it. Too much weight put on the bed can break the pallets that hold the mattress. Also, i’m not sure if it was suppose to come with a mattress, but it didn’t ! I’ve seen people say that it comes with everything in the pic and the mattress is with the pic but i got no mattress.
