Was really easy to replace. Not even 10 minutes and I was done.

Works perfect, could not buy locally
Worked perfect for the 1970's era secondary door I have at the back of the garage. Home Depot, at least by me, does not even carry this type of spring anymore. Took only a few minutes to change but I had to hang on it to get the hook engaged, it was a bit shorter than my old spring.

This was quite a life saver. We have an old (1987) one piece wooden garage door, One of the side springs broke and although this was not the original "model number", this spring was the very same spring (new model number for a Stanly side mount hinge) and took only 10 minutes to replace the broken one. Before finding this source, I had called all of the garage door "specialists" in my town and they all told me the same thing, "These old springs are no longer available, you will have to replace the door, for about $1400 to $1600 dollars"...... they all said how "dangerous these old springs were, their insurnace companies would not even insure them to do such a job", etc........ every one of them liars just looking to sell me a new door.......... for the cost of this spring and the shipping (which was more than the spring) we were able to fix this small problem for less than $100, and it was so simple, my husband with no experience as a handyman installed it himself.The spring came in less than a week, and I can't thank Holmes-Hally Industires enough!!!!!

Work well - as they should, since they are an exact replacement.
Got these to replace broken springs for the garage door of my 92-yr-old Aunt. Couldn't find the lock-end variety at either of the big-box home improvement stores. Work well; glad to find exact replacement.
