COVER STORY ASKING ALEXANDRIA: When you're in a platinum selling band, packing out big venues around the world, and have a hungry and ultra devoted fan base, the last thing you want is to lose your iconic frontman. Not about to be derailed by the circumstances, Asking Alexandria-led by founding member and guitarist/vocalist Ben Bruce-swiftly recruited Denis Stoff of Ukrainian metalcore unit Make Me Famous, and they went about recording their fourth full-length, The Black. We spoke with both the guitarist and new vocalist to find out what has been happening behind the scenes, and why despite having a lot of lousy shit thrown at him, Bruce could not be happier. IN-DEPTH INTERVIEWS MEGADETH has proven to be an unstoppable force in metal, and with 15th album Dystopia, the band is back at its best and Dave Mustaine has not missed a step. Recruiting string strangler Kiko Loureiro of Brazilian power metal unit Angra and borrowing drummer Chris Adler from Lamb of God, the band has been more than revitalized, and Mustaine is understandably content with where Megadeth stands in 2016. LIKE MOTHS TO FLAMES: While other bands might neuter their guitarists and lean on their singer to transition into a more rock or pop punk sound, Like Moths to Flames is sticking to its guns. Vocalist Chris Roetter discusses Like Moths to Flames' heavier, more focused sound on The Dying Things We Live For. DROWNING POOL: Filled with thrilling highs and devastating lows, the Texas band has soldiered on, culminating in their latest and sixth studio album, Hellelujah. Vocalist Jasen Moreno-Drowning Pool's fourth overall-discusses what is the most brutal entry in the band's catalog to date.
