This is my 2d product type from Goartea - the other is their Organic Golden Chrysanthemum tea - and I'm very pleased with it.I take the Chrysanthemum tea on advice from my acupuncturist to help deal with my AMD - adult macular degeneration. I've been taking that tea plus getting regular acupuncture for the problem (which I inherited from both parents in the late, great boondoggle known as the 'PostWar Breeding Experiment' conducted by our government to move things forward after WW2.The acupuncture/tea combination works well to stabilize my AMD - it's not gotten worse in at least 4 years - and I like to add another tea into the mix.I've been using this particular tea in a roughly 60/40 mixture (more of this, less of the chrysanthemum) -- and I love the flavor combination.An interesting aside on brewing this particular tea - alone or in combination - it's the only tea I know of where the water will actually boil over in the kettle if I don't mind it properly … I've never known any tea to do so.The brewing method I use with all herbal teas is to put the bulk tea into the filter portion of the pot, pour the cold water over the tea into the pot, then put the water from the pot into the kettle for heating. Then when the water is the appropriate temperature, I pour it from the kettle over the leaves and into the pot … let steep for about 4 minutes … then drink.I get about 3 brews per batch this way … the flavor is still good enough, and herbal teas are meant to be consumed this way, according to my acupuncturist.Very strong recommendation for both this product and for the Goartea company.

Many giao gu lan teas are adulterated with bitter agents to lose weight and false sweeteners. This is PURE and the highest quality naturaly sweet tea. deep green. tastes a lot like a fine green tea. naturally energizing.

Delivered exactly as promised. When boiled the leaves unfurl & you can see they are whole not chopped/crushed. After I prep the tea I take the leaves & blend them in a veggie drink. The tea has a hint of sweet when drinking and a little bitter after flavor. Stevia takes the edge off the bitter.
