Men's Solar Sport Watch LED/ Quartz Combo Shock and Water Resistant SSW3 by ricco power

I've had this watch for 3 weeks now and I wanted to hold off on my review until I've worn it for a bit. I work as a respiratory therapist and I'm always using my watch to count breathing rates on my patients. It works great! I really like that I can set the digital time to military for hospital charting while still having a second hand and the analog clock. This watch has taken the usual everyday bumps and beyond while still keeping the correct time. It's had various body fluids ( perks of the job. Lol) and I've washed it and my hands numerous times without any trouble. The watch was even shipped in a nice tin. The only drawback on this watch is the instruction sheet. It's not too hard to navigate but it can be a bit confusing. But the Ricco company are quick to respond and give help to any questions I've asked. Awesome watch and I have recommended it to coworkers.

I am very pleased with my Ricco Solar Power watch. I use it as an "every day" watch and its accuracy and appearance are both excellent. I like having both a digital and analog watch in one. The watch I'm wearing now is actually a replacement for one I had purchased earlier. Although its digital function was fine, the analog hands stopped. I asked Ricco what I could do about that and they sent a coupon for replacement. You can't ask for better customer service than Amazon provides!

I liked the watch face that I can see both the hands and digtal display at the same time. The band I will probably change soon the plastic in the band makes my wrist sweat too much. The only other negative is that the digital display is a bit harder to read when the watch hands are lower in front of the display. At the 10:10 the digital display looks real good, but at 7:20 it gets partially obscured.

Rather than preach about the principles that I embrace, I thought I would capsulate strong beliefs in Renew, Reuse and recycle with this one gift: This solar watch. I am a staunch believer in Renewable energy; sun, wind, tide, etc. so in giving this watch (without preaching) I hope to impart my beliefs to a 12-year-old. This boy grew up with the Internet so he will do his own research and he will be convinced of the evils of fossil fuels. Who knows, this one inexpensive gift may spur him on to re-save our world in spite of a lack of leadership from the top.

So far, so good! I was a bit worried about it fitting me, as this is a men's watch and I am a woman with small wrists, but it's very adjustable. I usually wear it only the fourth or fifth tightest notch, so it's definitely suitable for most women. I love that it has both digital and analog times, as well as an alarm, glow in the dark analog watch hands, and a backlight button to read the digital clock in the dark. I still haven't figured out how to reset the date and day of the week, but I'll figure it out.

This watch came with me on a 1200 mile bicycle tour through rain and sweat and couple lakes and rivers and it is still ticking well. I also wear it when i work out every day and I have to say that i hardly notice its there and there has been very little dead skin/sweat build up on the under side of it. occasionally the digital read out takes more than a half second to read due to the hands being over it but thats kind of hard to avoid with an analogue/digital combo, It does glow enough to see in dark light but the darker the better for sure.

Analog does not work. May be i don't know how to use it. Please someone tell me if there is any other way to use both digital and analog of this watch. I wanted to return it the very first day i received, but i wanted to give some time to check if it worked. But it is not working. I gave 3 stars for its size and looks.

I am updating my review. Since my last review the hands no longer work. The digital time is fine but the hands won't move. I don't use it anymore. It's a little over a year old, I have a couple other solar watches and they seem to all work after several years. Nice watch otherwise.I like the watch and especially that it is solar powered. The night light is a plus and it is keeping good time after 4 days. My only issue with it is the alarm function. the directions are not at all clear or complete. I can't get the daily alarm to ever shut off. I accidentally got the hourly alarm to stop but then it started again. bottom line: if you would like a watch that is battery-free and is both digital and analog with a night light then it's great for the price. I still may return it if the alarm becomes to annoying. If they could figure out how to write the directions to function the alarm sequences on and off I would change my rating to a 5 immediately.
