Bought this lighter a little under 2 months ago and it still runs great after being dropped at least 20 times onto hard tile.Durability: If the lighter lands on its side it is surprisingly durable. I would imagine if it landed on a corner on the bottom near the micro-usb port it would break though.Battery life: This is where the lighter is at its weakest, if used frequently I find the battery only lasts a day and needs to be fully recharged by the end of the day. It does charge pretty fast though, I'd say under an hour but I never timed it. Also even though the lighter will say it still has a charge the intensity of the plasma or whatever it is noticeably decreases as it gets down to 1 1/2 "dots" left on its charge.Looks: Thing looks great and feels great in the hand, it's heavy but just the right weight for me. And it is bulky but fits in all my pockets (I am a man), and the display screen looks very nice and also works as an flashlight of sorts that I have used at least once in the past two months.Functionality: It lights everything I want to light and more importantly it has a raised and angled head which other plasma lighters don't have. A regular butane lighter extends pretty far out from the hole on the top but a plasma lighter ONLY lights things that come in contact with the lighter. This makes lighting a bowl or a candle or anything like that nearly impossible unless it has a raised and angled head.It does have a tendency to get dirty which is what I have found with all plasma lighters but you can use just about anything to clean them. I personally use a piece of printing paper to clean out the grooves and use a brush to clean the heads.Overall if you are looking for a plasma lighter and you don't mind something a little on the large size this is probably the best one you can get atm on Amazon.

I loved this lighter when I first received it. I charged it up and it made lighting so much easier for me. My thumb doesn't like trying to make a bic flick! I only use it 4 - 6 times a day. The first week it held a charge for 3 days. Now, just 5 weeks later, it only holds a charge for 3 uses ( see pic), not hours, not days. I do not leave the lid open. I always charge it overnight. I don't know if the battery inside could be replaced. If you have had this experience with this lighter I'd love to hear if its fixable! I want it to work because it is a nice quality, a nice weight.

This lighter is more expensive than most, because it's much larger and a triple arc. I had a similar lighter that would get clogged but this is fair better quality.Holds a charge for a long time and well worth the extra few dollars

I bought this lighter a few years ago. I really liked the triple arc on it and when I first bought it, the battery lasted a long time. I let it sit for over a year and decided to use it again. Now it will charge to 100% but after 5-6 uses, the battery dies. Not sure how long the battery would have lasted if I had used it more. I have a different one that has lasted a lot longer.

I bought 2 of these rather cool looking lighters 4 days apart (1/16/25 &1.19.25. One for me and 1 for my sister. ON 2/28/25 at approximately 8:20am I received a frantic call from my sister (who lives alone with her two little girls) about waking up to the lighter about to explode.I wish I was making this up!She said she woke up to a smokey apartment and a strong burning smell, only to find that the lighter was flipped closed, but powered on and smoking and burning the countertop. She burned herself trying to throw it in the sink. The harsh landing caused it to power off, but was still super-hot and burning surfaces.It's funny how my intuition TOLD me no to trust this lighter!The low amount reviews and the fact that they weren't all 5 star was a dead giveaway.I strongly encourage everyone to immediately dispose to this product before it turns into a literal bomb while you sleep.Again, I wish I was making this up! I was NOT expecting that call. I could only imagine how scared the girls were waking up for school that morning...I THANK GOD that my family was not displaced or injured by this product because it was just that close to happening.NEVER BUY AN ELECTRIC LIGHTER WITHOUT AN PHYSICAL BATTERY DISCONNECT SWITCH.On top of the huge risk for explosion, it does NOT have a battery life of 200-300 used on 1 charge. It's a Mear 20 uses before requiring a charge. I would have returned them simply off that principle but they looked so good.

I purchased this after the zippo type electric lighter I had broke. I've been using it 20 times a day since the middle of May- and it hasn't failed yet. It charges quickly, saves money/waste from not buying disposable lighters, and looks cool. Make sure to use the brush it comes with clean the carbon from the connectors and it will last a smoker a long time. Update- I'm back, a year after purchasing it has quit charging..I think the charging port is worn out. I'm ordering another right now, as it's still a good deal for the way I use it.
