the sharpness of the image display is excellent. Note that connections to display are made on ...
I wasn't sure what to expect with this display. I was pleasantly surprised with what I received. Given the high-resolution and relatively small display, the sharpness of the image display is excellent. Note that connections to display are made on the right edge of the display unit. Depending on your mounting needs, the side needed for both HDMI and micro-USB connectors might be a factor. The unit does come with (probably) acrylic laser-cut pieces that serve as spacers for boards on the back of the unit and the associated hardware to go with that. Note, there isn't really a proper "bezel" ... the front most pieces doesn't cover where the touchscreen circuitry resides. You'd need another bezel to cover that and expose the active part of the display.Note that this display's controller isn't auto-scaling. This means you cannot input 1920x1080, for example, and expect it to display properly. On a raspberry pi, adding to your config.txt:hdmi_group=2hdmi_mode=1hdmi_mode=87hdmi_cvt 1024 600 60 6 0 0 0The display is IPS, so it has excellent operation over a wide angle, both in horizontal and vertical dimensions. The unit is powered via a microusb connection on the right side of the display board. That same jack can be used for the touchscreen.Which comes to the next part of the review. The touchscreen doesn't seem to be very well supported. Reading numerous forums suggests that this display emulates another type of touchscreen. Eleduino provides a binary blob that only works with certain kernels. Fortunately, other people have built drivers for this touchscreen that work well. The driver that is user space and I was able to get working well for raspian is here:[...]; however that driver has limited functionality. Whether it is good enough for your applications you'll have to look into.Bottom line: Display is beautiful. Touchscreen is relatively easily made functional, but not full featured without locking yourself into a specific kernel and the maintenance issues that may come with that.

Nice screen for the price.
This screen arrived in perfect condition and much earlier than I had been informed. It's nice, sharp and fairly bright (for a USB powered screen). It worked out of the box when used with a laptop, however the Raspberry Pi does require some additional work. Eleduino does provide a simple tutorial to get it working, as well as a custom image of Raspbian that has all the drivers and settings already pre-configured. Also, the touch functionality happened to work with the Raspbian image that came with the Pi, which is nice.If you're going to be using this screen with a Raspberry Pi, as well as powering it through the Pi, make sure to add "max_usb_current=1" to your /boot/config.txt. The USB ports do not otherwise provide enough current to drive the screen, and it ends up flickering heavily.A few (minor) cons this product has:1) The frame it came with wasn't exactly the same as in the picture on this page. The front faces of it were not painted black, and instead were in the color brown with numerous stock markings on it, which most likely was this way before it became a frame. Not a big deal overall.2) The screen only came with the USB cable, and not the HDMI cable for it as well. Again, it's not too big of an issue, it just would've been nice to have both.3) Although this is a touchscreen, it's kind of awkward to interact with. A lot of the time you have to re-tap the screen to get it to register input. Trying to double-click on something is often tricky, and can get annoying.All-in-all, I'm happy with the screen. As long as you know what you're doing, and have reasonable expectations, it's worth getting it.

Nice brick.
This display would not work with my Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. But I failed to act before the merchandise return deadline, so now I have a nice brick on my desk.

Good monitor.... Poor touchscreen.
It worked for a little while before it just randomly quit.I set it up and let it on over night. I came to work with it the next morning and it had stopped working. It still had video, but the digitizer had quit so the touch screen wouldn't work. I returned the product. The stand was pretty good and easy to put together.

The display itself is fine, but the touch is just 'OK'
The display itself is fine, but the touch is just OK. All you can really do is move the cursor and left click. No right click. I don't know if this is due to the lack of a driver, or a limitation of Raspbian. The manufacturer support is non-existant, and they do not supply drivers. I will continue to look elsewhere, but not with this company.
