I am very happy with this extender. It's the only thing that worked for what I needed.I have a iPhone 12 pro with a beasy water proof body armour. I wanted to use a zoom pro iq7 mic with my phone but couldn't do it due to the poor design of that mic which has a lightning plug that is too short and wouldn't pass through the thick case.I tried six or seven adapters. Some of them didn't work at all and the ones which did had a thick plug which wouldn't pass through the case. Then, as a last try, I ordered this lightning extender . The plug is thin and long enough so I could connect it to my phone . Then I plugged the Zoom mic on the other side and voila!I had the words zoom iq7 mic on the screen of my iPhone whilst using filmic pro!Now I can improve the audio of videos I shoot with my phone thanks to this little chap. Excellent!

Needed a pass through adapter for an external mic, this works. It should be under a fiver, it costs a lot more than that. I needed it, it does the job, guess I'll bite the bullet on the price

Fits through a case with room to spare. I use it as a socket saver with the right type of case. If it doesn't work right away restart the phone and it should work then.
