Not impressed. Very small bowl, especially if you work with thicker materials. Additionally, where the yarn is threaded through is barely sanded down and therefore, ruins your yarn by causing it to pill and fray. Spend the extra money and get a nice yarn bowl. This is not it.Update 9/6/2020Company refunded my money and apologized for it being unsatisfactory.

This yarn bowl is pretty, but that’s as far as it goes for me. Small wooden bowl with rough edges that are too abrasive to put yarn through. It has a nice finish on the outside, but the inside would need to be sanded in order to use with yarn. There are NO extra holes for knitting/crochet needles/hooks for storage as was stated in the description! If you use yarn skeins other than yarn balls, as l do, this bowl would be way too small to accommodate skeins. I’m taking a hint from another reviewer and using mine as a planter.

It’s like they didn’t sand the inside of the hole where the yarn is supposed to come through :/ I shouldn’t have had to spent an hour with sand paper to get this to be functional!

I absolutely love this bowl! The craftsmanship is superb, and the color is gorgeous. The item photos do not do it justice. However, the product title mentions "holes for knitting needles". The bowl does not have these. Like in the picture itself, there is only the carved swirl to guide the yarn. You can use the swirl to hold the needles, which is what I do, so long as the needles you're using aren't too big. But there are no holes in the bowl, despite what the item says.

Cute little wooden yarn bowl. The inside needed a little sanding so the yarn wouldn’t catch. Easily fits one skein rolled into a ball.

Horrible craftsmanship! Bowl is rough, inside and out, yarn threading curl is roughly cut, snags, and splinters. The wood is unevenly stained and patchy. There is not a top coat of anything applied to smooth out the problem areas. I’m pretty disappointed. I was hoping to give this as a gift. Looks like a dollar store product. Will be returning.

We purchased 2 of these for my daughter. The craftsmanship is fantastic and they're beautiful. They work great for her smaller balls of yarn, but they won't hold a full ball. We'll either find her a bigger bowl, or she'll have to get used to knitting from the skein and only balling up leftovers.

While. I was searching for a larger yarn bowl I found this item. The quality seems nice and it is pretty, it is not a very practical as far as size. The one I received is barely 5" across!! The finish is ok but I will be putting a thicker varnish over it. Even though, this is well worth the price if you a looking for a smaller yarn bowl.
