This straightener is a great, simple iron. It came packaged is a neat, magnetic box and included a travel/storage case, a parting comb, instructions and warranty information. The straightener itself is brightly colored with smooth plates and an extra long cord. It heated up in less than a minute (maximum 450 degrees F) with no funky smell or smoke. The on/off switch and temperature wheel are located inside the handle between the plates, which is a bit awkward but presents no functional issues (see photo).The straightener went over my hair smoothly without tangling or pulling (nothing worse than when one, single hair gets yanked on a plate). The end result was smooth and extra shiny. Very pleased with the effectiveness, simplicity and results there.The warranty, if I am reading correctly, is kind of a let down. You have to keep the original packaging and receipt, AND it costs $20?... Hope to never need that, I guess.***Update- Over a year later and still going strong. Plates are not cracked or scorched and continue to heat evenly.

I got this for a Christmas gift for my wife cause needed a new one and it heats up fast and straightens very fast and very nicely!

I was so hyped about this straightner. It's beautiful and comes in equally beautiful packaging, however, the quality is awful. I have fine hair and have to have it turned all the way up to where my hair is steaming to get it straight. I'll stick with my wal mart straightner. Would return but I lost the stuff for it.
