Weak Pole (Update)
The umbrella itself is beautiful and looks great on the deck. The issue is the pole is not very sturdy. The guidelines recommend using a 50 or 55 lb base w/the umbrella. I purchased one for use w/the umbrella and our deck table. The wind still caught the umbrella and caused the table to tip and broke the pole. The pole is hollow and not very strong for such a large umbrella. My husband had to purchase PVC pipe to put inside the pole to reinforce it and put the pole back together. We will see how that holds up. It obviously does not look as nice with black tape around the pole covering up the crease where the pole broke in half. We will see if it functions better now that the pole has been reinforced and put back together. It's because of the weak pole that I have to give this umbrella 3 stars.*Update* The company reached out to me to make this right and replaced the umbrella. They also informed me they would pass my recommendation to strengthen the pole to the manufacturer. Excellent customer service!!!

Under-engineered. Broken tilt mechanism after one month of use.
It is with deep regret that we are writing this. We received our new 11' three-tier, red market umbrella and loved it for its look, the red color, it's ability to tilt, the double vent to help it deflect wind and its affordability. We used it for our 60" table patio set in our yard. We noticed the gauge of the aluminum and beefiness of the tilt mechanism on the new umbrella wasn't of the same quality of our older 9' umbrella which has a thicker gauge aluminum pole and metal tilt mechanism. It never failed in seven years and has withstood heavier winds.Unfortunately, exactly one month after we received it, a gust of wind snapped the new pole at the tilt mechanism and dented the lower pole where it descends into the table. The pole was not tilted when this happened. We also noticed the paint finish doesn't seem as "baked on/durable as our older umbrella purchased from Home Depot. The paint on the new pole scratches off fairly easy. We were shocked but grateful no one was injured. No damage was done to the patio set.We are awfully disappointed in these vulnerabilities and feel that an 11' umbrella should have a stronger pole and tilt components to support it than what was provided. It seemed under engineered (cheaply made) when we received it. The red fabric top was perfectly fine.I am attaching a close up photo of the broken tilt mechanism and damaged lower pole. Incidentally, the customer service email address for Patiassy was provided in the paperwork with the umbrella. It said customer service would reply within 24 hours of an inquiry. This is the 4th business day since I sent my email and I have heard nothing back. I don't recall if the website stated this but the product was made in China. So disappointed they do not seem to be standing behind their product.I would not recommend this umbrella unless they start providing sturdier components.UPDATE AUGUST 27, 2020: Customer service did reach out to my email after several days. Ultimately they reshipped another umbrella. So they do stand behind their product and kudos to them. (But I wonder what would have happened if my pole broke after the 30-day warranty.) I hoped they would have been able to send me a heavier-duty, appropriately engineered umbrella frame and pole for this. But, we have learned disappointingly, that we should only use this umbrella in calm or near calm conditions which limits the function and practicality of this Patio Umbrella...

Broke after one day
I didn’t have high expectations given the price but I did expect it to last more than 1 day. It snapped at the tilt after one small wind gust. The size is great and the color is good but will not be replacing with the same item. Lesson learned

Tilt not sturdy
We used it for our table with 6 chairs..loved the amount of shade it provided until it broke just above the tilt!

Best Umbrella Ever!!
All umbrellas should be designed with this unique dual-level venting at the top. I no longer have to be concerned about the wind picking up my umbrella (and the table with it) because this genius design allows for air flow through the umbrella layers. I am so impressed, and my poolside guests are just raving about it. They've asked where they can get one, and I didn't hesitate to make the referral. I would easily buy another one--it's worth the money spent. And I love the vibrant red color!

Great quality umbrella
It is sturdy and really nice quality. Nice radius to cover entire table and chairs.UPDATE: didn't use it until this week. Had it open a couple of times, no strong wind, but the umbrella tilt mechanism failed when it was closed and it is no longer holding a vertical position.Second UPDATE: Customer service is just outstanding and excellent! Received a replacement shortly with an improved umbrella design that I hope will prevent any further damage to the product when it is not in use. So far

Excellent customer service
We initially purchased this item in July 2020. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the pole and reached out one week ago to see if the company could assist us with a replacement or replacement part. One week later, the new umbrella arrived. We were instructed to keep the initial umbrella for parts, etc. Thank you for excellent customer service.

Pole snapped with no wind
I've only had the umbrella for 3 months and have actually used it about 4 times. Umbrella pole broke while it was tilted and there was NO WIND AT ALL.Umbrella looks great. But I believe the pole is too thin for an umbrella of this size. Umbrella pole broke while it was tilted and there was no wind at all.Umbrella was in tact if that counts for something. I learned a lesson... If you're going to buy an umbrella this large, the pole needs to be thicker.
