Thanks.Ok so this is a sturdy and easy to put together kit, the light brightness is good and easy to adjust with the nozzle BUT and this is a big issue : the mount provided for phone and camera doesn’t fit the sliding mechanism on the ring light thereby meaning it is useless to use for this purpose.I have emailed the manufacturer and looked at the video which shows the unit sliding in easily and not been able to achieve this- looks like perhaps the wrong piece was included here....unless I am missing something.Annoying as I have unpackaged and thrown away the box so sending it back is going to be a total nuisance!

I occasionally do vlogs and the lighting in the room I work in is atrocious for this kind of thing so I just need a little help to improve the lighting.This light is a great halfway house between expensive professional equipment and affordable lighting options.It's very simple to use, just a single rotary control which will turn it on and control the brightness of the light and it also comes with it's own low voltage power supply.Also included in the kit is the tripod, a set of warm diffusers, a smart phone bracket and a bluetooth shutter controller. It also comes in a carry bag that can store everything except the tripod.I'm unlikely to use the warm diffusers (though never say never) but everything else is a very welcome addition.The phone mount allows you to fix the phone into the center of the ring to optimise the lighting spread. The shutter control means you do not have to touch the phone to take your images which cuts down the chance of blurring caused by movement of the phone.The tripod has great flexibility for height adjustment and along with the shutter control means you can get some interestingly angled shots. I worked out that you can get the phone camera up to around 2+ meters in height. The tripod is a little top heavy at that point so great care is needed not to tip it over. Some leg tweaking is advised to get the greatest amount of stability.The light itself has an ideal amount of fill in for me though I may possibly get another one later to even out the lighting even more (although space is of a premium at the moment).An affordable solution for me.

Ok so I bought this ring light for my daughter and wife who are both driving me crazy with making online videos and tutorials and always twisting about the lighting.This ring light is amazing. It is a nice big size that gives off an excellent temperature light. Yiu get a lovely remote control too so you can adjust things like the colour, brightness and warmth and turn it on or off.The included stand/tripod is a thing of beauty. Its very sturdy and offers great supports for the ring light. You get good solid attachments for your phone/camera too which work exactly as you would expect them too.Overall I am very very happy with this ring like as the build quality and performance has surpassed my expectations. The only problem now is my wife and daughter no longer want to use the older smaller ring light so It looks like I will have to buy another one of these.

Ideal support for getting perfect professional image quality from home.It came with triangle stand, stand look small but ones extended I was pleasantly surprised , it can reach from 25” upto max 78” which is much more than what I max so far used but good to have for future.Also came with nice looking remote control, which needed 2 aaa size batteries. From remote control I can choose variety of colours, adjust brightness and colour saturation. This 2 aaa size batteries included in box which I found very thoughtful as not always included and I end up using my own rechargeable batteries.Also possible to download its own application which allows from mobile to change colours and brightness without using remote control.Ring itself wide and quite bright, does a big difference. It also has mobile holder which expands large enough to hold my max model phone as well.Overall great colour adjustable ring light which helps me get professional pictures at home.

A perfect gift for a cinematographer..Buying for my brother who loves videography and photography, and he loves it!It came the next day thank you to prime, and the package was securely packed. You even get a bag to store it all in when it’s not in use!It’s a very simple set up, making it quick when you’re out on location. However, you do need a power source (this isn’t a problem whatsoever really - would just be nicer with a battery source..)You can easily dim up and down the brightness of the ring light, adjusting it to the perfect amount of light on the subject.I recommend this to everybody who wants to get into filming and taking photos with a nice bright light to make the foreground sharper and clearer!If you found my review helpful, please rate it accordingly. My daughter has been making YouTube videos over lockdown and her channel has grown rapidly (0-6000 subs), unfortunately the lighting in her recording studio (her bedroom) isn't the greatest, so after some convincing I bought this.With so many ring lights to choose from on Amazon, it was difficult finding one that had all the bells and whistles that my daughter asked for, thankfully after some scrolling I came across this beauty.The SAMTIAN ring light has so many features that it would take me all day to compile them into a list, but the few that stood out the most to me were the intuitive app which allows you to change the brightness and colour temperature, and the ability to use the light with a DSLR.
