I built a tire swing for the kids and used the Kango for the swivel. Kids love it and the Kango works great. Keeps spinning long after the last push.Used pressure treated pine 6 x 6's with western red cedar trim and two 2 x 8'a running across the top. Have five 50 lbs bags of Quickcrete in each hole. This thing isn't going anywhere :-)

I love this swivel hook for my daughters spinning therapy swing. You cannot find anything comparable at Lowe's or Home Depot. But...it is pricey!!!!!

Sturdy with a smooth swivel, we are using this with a saucer swing. Love it so much we just bought a second one for a different swing.

Don't install a single point swing without this device. No worries about chain getting twisted. Full 360 degree freedom. And yes it is very silent and looks very nice. I accidentally found this device and very happy that I bought it. Thanks to the reviews. We installed this at the ceiling for our indoor swinging chair.

First, I should note I received this item at a discount in exchange for an honest review. That said, at the price offered here — roughly half of similar spec name-brand climbing gear swivels — this might be best suited for someone who is using the item in something other than a lifesaving application.The manufacturer recommends a 2,000 working load limit, and indicates testing for 6,750 pounds breaking strength. The manufacturer also claims a 30 kN rating. These specs are in line with pro gear climbing swivels — the type used to keep rope from twisting under load. That does not mean it is necessarily a good choice for climbing,Importantly, this is categorized on Amazon under play set swing accessories — *not* climbing gear. For climbing or safety rigging, the first shortfall I encountered is the shape of the two ends (a triangle point, rather than the more common oval). While the opening is large enough to fit more than one carabiner as advertized, the shape also offers a potential binding point when more than one rope is passing through. In addition, with more than one locking carabiner in place, they were difficult to reposition. Finally, although the device spins well, and smoothly, I did find some “rock” and play at the swivel point after loaded use, and while that didn’t significantly affect the performance of the device, it did affect my confidence.Using this swivel for what it’s marketed for, e.g. for a child’s swing, it’s a nice, affordable piece of gear that seems built to last. I’d probably avoid using it as fall protection, but again, it’s not being marketed for such use. Bottom line: if you're intent on spinning some kiddos, this item lets you do it for about half the cost and will work wonderfully.

Was surprised to find this. One swing site on the Internet was selling something like this for $100, so I was very pleased to find this. And the construction gives me much more confidence. It's holding up very well so far!

I got this for my autistic sons hammock swing. He loves to spin and this works so easily and is truly frictionless.
