Big and easy to assemble
I love these style of composters compared to the newer ones, as they are a true easy put together and functioning composter. It is very lightweight, but it will take some space as it is pretty big.As others have said, make sure you have two hands available to open the top when you are trying to put in anything into the composter, as it will require both hands to line up the grooves to open and close the lid. Otherwise this is a great product, I definitely would buy it again

Good Basic Composting Option
We liked the simplicity of the design, no joints to come apart (other than the door possibly) when the compost starts putting pressure on the walls. Easy to open and add material, and remove compost through the door or the top. We purchased two, one for the raw material, the second for "finishing" the compost, and they have functioned as expected, putting out usable compost in a matter of a few weeks. The previous composter we had worked well but came apart at the joints and was unrepairable. These should last a good long while. You could spend more and not do better than this composter

Larger than anticipated, but great overall
Came in an enormous box that the kids are now using as a fort, so win-win. It is much larger than anticipated, as some said it was small—it’s probably big enough for a larger family with food scraps. New to composting, but this container seems like it is sturdy and secure enough to keep out residential pests…only time will tell.

Great compost bin, but needs modification to use in urban environments
We compost all our kitchen scraps, garden waste, and a lot of our yard waste and have three of these bins. The oldest is three, maybe four, years old at the time of this review. If you live in the countryside, exurbs, or suburbs, you can probably use this bin as-is.We, however, live in a small sized city and have to contend with rats and raccoons. In order to compost safely with this bin in rat country you will need to place it on at least a single layer of chicken wire to prevent burrowing. Likewise, the lower level of vents will need to be reinforced with hardware cloth. If you don't do this, you will have rodent problems, and rats can be a HUGE pain to get rid of once established. Likewise, you'll need a big rock or two to discourage raccoons from getting in. Without a weight, they will figure our how to spin the top off and make a mess of things. If the manufacturer included built in hardware cloth on the bottom vents and base this would be a five start product and hands down the best product on the market.I prefer to start loading these bins in fall with a good mix of kitchen waste (green) and yard waste (brown) and get it half full by the spring. Once the warm weather arrives there is enough biomass in the bin for things to get cooking and stay cooking through the summer. I've never had a problem with smell or bugs when using this approach. If there isn't enough volume things never really get going and that's when the material will start to smell bad and get infested with grubs and flies.Once fall arrives I transfer the mostly composted material to a second (or third) bin to let the worms do their thing. I sift the compost in the spring, putting the larger bits of mostly woody debris back into the active bin.

Easy, Simple, Lite and Big
What a BIG box!!! It was sad to see that the box this container came in, did not make the trip. But the good news was that I received this package literally the next day, while Amazon stated that it would take at least a week to arrive. Super pleased about that! The install is really a no brain-er, just choose the spot you want it to live and stake down. I wasn't too thrilled about the stakes provided. Too short and too thin. A medium to large dog could easily tip it over just by leaning on it. Luckily I owned thicker and longer stakes already, so it was a quick fix.Shortly after purchasing this compost bin, I found the same bin at Home Depot for almost the same price, but it also came with a plastic "grill" to place underneath the bin to prevent critters from burrowing into the bin and lay waste to your perfectly composting pile. My solution involved a layer of weed stopping mesh paper and wire fence underneath the bin. I am hoping that it will be sufficient to deter critters from trying to get at my compost. All in all, I am definitely going to purchase another of these bins and have two going at the same time.

Great quality compost bin
Bought this to replace a cheap, click together, piece of junk that lost its lid within weeks of setting it up and wouldn't keep its shape. This EnviroWorld bin is much sturdier and I like the round shape for more efficient stirring of the compost. The lid locks in place, which is a huge improvement over the last one we had, and the hatch at the bottom for removing compost as also sturdy and holds in place well. Highly recommend this model.

DON'T BUY THIS COMPOSTER
I've been using this composter about one month. Everything seemed fine until I checked it this evening. For some reason, the designers of this item chose to place flimsy air vents all around the outside near ground level. Easy prey for wild creatures. The vents are mostly chewed away already and the contents are strewn all around the composter. I just patched all the vents with duct tape but that probably won't deter the critters that now know where to get easy pickings. I strongly advise NOT to buy this composter.

Squirrels chewed through the plastic
I was really excited about this bin and overall it works fine. The only issue is that the squirrels chewed through the plastic and now are getting at the compost. The bin is made of a softer kind of plastic and I think it should be more dense.
