Esther Williams Women's 50's Pin Up Swimsuit

Ladies..... may I say I found the perfect suit. I'm 5'11 and I wear a size 14. I ordered this suit in a 16. I put it on and looked like I wore a 12. I wear a 38DDD and yet there was no spillage whatsoever. Long legs, cinched waist and boobalicousness. Awesome. Then I turned around. Now admittedly, the navy blue is not as bad as the polka dot. The polka dot from behind looks ridiculous. With out a lining the white dots are see thru and grow larger since there's no fabric to keep it the same size as the dots in front. Weird. Talk about feeling so sexy and good, but I just can't walk around with an unlined back. Damn. As for the navy, I was so close and tempted to keep it because it is not so obvious that it doesn't have a lining, until wet. I ran a bath and sat down to be sure, and yeah, you can tell. There is a hollow.... empty... butt crack fabric situation going on, I'm having none of it.If you want to be a poolside bunny and have NO intention of getting your suit wet, you have a winner. I'm not even saying that in jest because there are some women who do the poolside, sunglasses, Kindle, margarita thing fabulously. If you're that woman you may not need a 100% functioning suit and if this suit was cheaper I would keep it for poolside bunny purposes. So this is the suit for you if your that woman.... but don't even think about sitting curbside pool and getting this suit wet unless you are prepared to cover your bum with a towel or cover up.If the manufacturer decides to not cut corners and make this suit with a back liner I would buy 3: Navy, polka dot and red. Seriously. I'm the type who doesn't admire other women's suits unless I can look at it and feel that its a great suit that can look great on a lot of other women. This suit would look great on long, luscious, small, athletic, you name it kind of women. Actually, it will make you look better. So please Mr. Manufacturer, "Fix the dang back! Because it's not fair to charge for a back lining when there isn't one."Update**** I stand by my product review but I must warn fellow bathing suit shopping beauties against this seller. I'm happy for everyone who had a fantastic shopping experience but mine has been the worst. I had initially given the seller a 1 for customer service but I took it down after she (Maren) promised a total refund, promised better customer service and cried, literally cried, about being a small business owner who was trying her best. I felt terrible. So I took the review down and she promised me a fully lined suit. Well NINE MONTHS LATER I'm sure Maren's tears are completely dry but I'm still without a fully lined black bathing suit. She hasn't even responded to my last email (I've sent only 3 in nine months because I didn't want to be a bother). So again, congratulations to all who had a great experience! But personally, I wouldn't buy from this seller again if the suits were fully lined with gold. I reported her to Amazon - she doesn't represent the quality service Amazon demonstrates. I wish everyone the best luck finding the suit of your dreams!

I'm 5'1", 120lbs. 40 years old. I have saggy bum, mommy belly, & ~34-36c boobs on a good day. I ordered the red & white dots in size 8. I'm usually a 6, but ordered up due to other reviewer recommendations. It was a very tight squeeze getting this suit on. It sucks in my belly well though. There is no push up cleavage action whatsoever. My butt cheeks are covered, but it could turn bad quick. The front is lined, the back is not. It's going to be uncomfortably tight for the pool with my kid or for doing my lap swimming. I don't think I'll exchange for a size 10 due to the fact that my boobs aren't supported or pushed up or made to look bigger. I paid seventy six dollars for this, I do not think it is worth that much. Also, please note that I am a prime member, but they are charging me for postage for the return :( See my pics!

I LOVE this suit! I'm actually ordering a new one now, after THREE YEARS with the emerald green one! It's held up so incredibly well and the only reason I'm buying another is because I wore it for the first few months of my recent pregnancy and it stretched some in the back area. I recently wore it to an indoor waterpark with family and flat out ASKED if it was looking a little sheer in the back and it was fine. Again, after years, YEARS, of real, honest to god, chasing my toddler (now 3) around the pool year round (indoor & outdoor), at least 3 beach trips, etc, type of wear and tear. I was certainly not doing the margarita-sipping, poolside bunny lounging that another reviewer suggested this suit was perfect for. After the recent trip to the indoor park, I told my husband I think I ought to get a new suit as this one is starting to feel a little stretched out (honestly, I sort of just want some variety after 3 years of wearing the same suit a LOT). He is not an overtly sexual kind of guy but said, "I really hope you can find the same one you got before because you look amazing in that one, super sexy!" Sold. This is a picture of the new suit, size 12 as my boobs are normally 34F/G & I'm currently 155 lbs less than 2 months postpartum & 5'3". I know from experience this suit still works well at my normal weight of 145, too.

First off, this suit is so flattering for any body type! I have some extra cushion in the mid-section and this bathing suit does not make me feel self conscious. The quality is great. Some people mentioned two issues with the black and white polka dot - the first being with the lack of lining in the back. This was not a problem for me. The material is high quality and did not become "see through" when wet. The second issue that was mentioned dealt with the polka dots stretching in the back. This will happen, especially if you have a little more "junk in the trunk" like me. However, again this was not a deal breaker for me. Although the polka dots in the back stretched more than the ones in the front, it didn't really seem noticeable unless you are trying to see it.Finally, please please please visit the Esther Williams website and check out their sizing before purchasing!! I cannot stress this enough. The sizing will be accurate if you do this. I am normally a size 10 (on a good day) to size 12. I bought this suit in a 14, and it fit perfectly. This seems to run small as others have mentioned, but when I visited the Esther Williams website my measurements were spot on with their size 14.

SO FLATTERING! I'm 4'10" and 150lbs with a 36DD bust, and have been struggling to find a suit I feel cute in. I had bought and returned several already this season, and ordered this one last minute before a trip. I was thrilled when I tried it on! The ruching and lines are SO complimentary and create a great silhouette. Halter top provided enough support to feel comfortable while swimming & snorkeling. I like this so much I have it in two colors!
