The Key to Practice
The Class Lessons of 1888 open the lens for how Turth and the teachings developed after the break with Christian Science. The break was a break in let's say "control", but not a break in truth. Emma Curtis Hopkins brought to the table the lessons that she was taught and in the lessons she does refer to her teacher, Mary Baker Eddy. These lessons are written in a clear understandable fashion and give a step by step approach. No one can teach you how to open the door to consciousness, but having clear guidance to the threshold is a tremendous help. If at first you don't succeed, this text takes you to what the "blocks" might be. These lessons are as useful today as they were in the 1800's.All of the founders of the various New Thought movements took lessons from Emma Curtis Hopkins and "these" are the lessons they took that changed their lives. People like the Filmores, Emily Cady, Melissa Cramer, and Ernest Holmes, who took private lessons when Ms. Hopkins had retired from teaching. What worked yesterday, still works today. Truth is truth regardless of the date!

Reading Emma Curtis Hopkins
I like reading the original works of this prolific teacher. Understanding the terminology gradually takes on more meaning as I keep reading. I appreciate the author's consistency and clarity.
