ENU Vanilla Cream - 48-pack ($12 Savings over single cases)

Since being diagnosed with colon cancer 15 months ago, I've lost over 40 lbs. Having been a small framed woman, that was weight I couldn't afford to lose. Eating has been very difficult for me and I've tried every supplemental drink I could get my hands on. All would give me terrible abdominal pains and nausea that I could barely keep them down and they did nothing for my nutritional intake. Also, most nutritional shakes are extremely high in sodium. While this was a pretty costly attempt, I had to go for it. Being 5'6" and only weighing in at 109 lbs, my family has watched me slowly waste away. My muscle tone is gone and my energy is non-existent. That being said... I tried these shakes and I've finally found something I can tolerate! I had to start slow and only drink half at a time or else I would start to feel sick (my stomach is not used to having any food in it). Within just a few days, I can now drink two of these and my appetite has finally increased! While I still have incredible abdominal pain from regular food, this has significantly helped me to not lose any more weight. My energy level is also beginning to increase. For those of you suffering the effects of chemo or other cancer treatments, or abdominal issues (dumping syndrome, colitis, crohns, etc) or any other nutritional deficit, this is by far the best supplement I've come across. It is not very sweet. (I've only tried vanilla as I don't like chocolate). It's not gritty. It is unusually thick but that is not a complaint. I have shared a few of these shakes with friends that I know are suffering from nutritional issues and cancer and they have all started to buy these too. Even if you are just a busy person who needs a quality meal replacement, this is well worth your money. Even my picky children try to steal these from the fridge. Thank you to the makers of ENU for giving me a chance to finally eat again! I am spreading the word about this product and it's quality. This truly has been a life saver for me!!!

Now I think these pack a powerful punch! My Mom who is elderly needs a high calorie shake to meet her protein needs and calories, she says the taste is okay.. I just like the idea of the high calorie & high protein. My son who has pancreatitis has to go a few days without eating to ease pressure on his pancreas at times and I have bought these for him. They both like the taste of the Mighty Shakes better then this but this is a much more nutrient shake in my opinion.

I am glad that I gave ENU a second chance. My first order was more than a year ago, my nutritionist advised me this product as the healthiest brand on a market. I am battling cancer and consuming healthy food is crucially important for me. I immediately ordered two boxes and could wait to start it.But after I tried my first vanilla drink I was very disappointed....I just could not tolerate the taste.....So after using only 1 box I quit....and second is still in basement :(I spent a lot of time on Google trying to find Nutritional drinks that areas healthy as ENU.....but I was not successful. So I went on Amazon.com, I read positive and negative reviews. A lot of people praises a new improved taste and I decided to give it a chance. First I ordered just 1 box to try. I was so happy after I tried it. The taste is great (I ordered chocolate) and all healthiest ingredients are there. So I ordered 6 more boxes and I hope it will be enough to survive 1 month :) Only one concern I have that this brand is expensive and cancer patients need it on a daily basis for month and month. I wish they could offer some discounts for long-term castomers.I would definitely recommend ENU to everyone! You will not be disappointed. Thank you ENU!

4 Stars because who can really "Love" nutritional shakes? My partner is undergoing radiation treatment (neck/throat) and eating & drinking have become a BIG issue due to mouth sores & severe sore throat. This product is far superior, in terms of calories & protein content, to Boost & Ensure. And it has no corn syrup. It is not as sweet as those other 2 brands. At this point we need all the calories & nutrition in the smallest volume as possible or a feeding tube will be instituted.Also this Enu shake is thicker than the other 2 brands I mentioned, in case you were wondering. And most importantly, she is finding it less difficult to tolerate than the other drinks. Personally, I find it easier to drink than Boost which is the sweetest of all, and Ensure(2nd sweetest).And they use Non-GMO soy. It's crazy these drinks are so expensive for nothing special ingred.

My husband is undergoing chemotherapy and has had a really hard time keeping food down. He tried the boost, ensure, and other meal replacement drinks but this is the only one that has worked. He has kept his weight on while having intense chemotheraphy and radiation. He never gets sick of these drinks and has 4 a day. Our nutritionist is actually the one who recommended this because my husband was having so much trouble.Yes, they are a little on the expensive side... but when you need to keep weight or gain weight and have a meal replacement, this product is invaluable.

Update (2018): Fewer calories (reduced from 450), less protein (reduced from 23g), less creamy, less user-friendly. This was already a pricey product; it is now no longer worth it. My son had consumed these since 2015 to supplement his nutritional intake with Crohn's; we will no longer go through the expense with this product. I assume Enu's business model can afford to lose multi-year customers to this change.Update (2016): This brand changed its formula overnight and without warning, explanation. It is no longer dairy free. Do not confuse lactose free with dairy free, the milk protein, casein, is in this product. If you are purchasing this as a dietary supplement or even sole source of nutrition for someone with digestive concerns, the new ingredients will concern you as well. Other changes are: slightly fewer calories and protein, and a pudding-like texture.(2015) I was pleased to have the nutritionist I was working with recommend this brand as an alternative to the processed-sugary brands. Wish they made it in strawberry flavor, also.
