Oh, my GOODness!
With this super coffee and my new phin filter, today I made my first Vietnamese-style 16 oz. cup of iced coffee with a slight modification. I had made it in the past with my usual, good, expensive, ground coffee and my regular coffee maker, and it made a very good drink, But. This particular brand of ground coffee, also expensive, made a much smoother drink. To steal the title of a popular novel, this drink is "as good as gold." Here is my recipe: With this coffee, I brewed a single, 8 ounce cup of coffee, and while the brew was still hot I added two tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk and a tablespoon of thick chocolate syrup. I stirred the whole brew then with a long iced tea spoon and topped all with whole milk. By then the drink was cold, and I did not add ice cubes. If it had not been cold enough, I would have placed the brew in the fridge for about half an hour. For the drinking glass, I use a tall, smoothie-drinking glass from the very beginning to my final gulps. I limit myself to only one of these a day, and it gives me a wonderful energy boost. Of course, if you do not like the mocha flavor, just eliminate the chocolate syrup.

The most amazing coffee I ever tried!!
After watching "The bucket list", I was intrigued about Kopi Luwak coffee. After some research, the price seemed to be (way) out of my budget. So I totally forgot about getting a bag, or even a cup of such delicacy (that comes from the end of digestive tract of a civet...). After a while, I found here in Amazon this cheaper option to kopi luwak. I read in detail, and the alternate process made sense. So I risked $18.95 and purchased this item. My taste buds where crazy about its well-balanced flavor, acidity and body. I would like to get this in whole beans, because pre-ground coffee is not my thing... and also maybe a bigger bag (2.2lbs). Even so, the brick is vacuum packed within a thick metalized plastic bag.

This is Not Civit Cat poop coffee, this is normally grown coffee!
This is NOT CIVIT CAT poop coffee as some has alleged. That coffee comes from Indonesia, so please ignore the comments that make that claim. Yes, the animals are abused, but they are not in Vietnam. Ignorant people should NOT post their reviews. Okay, as far as the coffee goes, it is very delicious, it is a wonderful treat to have one of these cups of coffee. Where I have to give them a “one star” is the cost. It may cost $24, however, with shipping, I ended up paying about $35. So be aware of that before you order. The coffee is VERY good, the total cost, not so much!

Decent coffee, but overpriced
I was super excited to try this coffee, from all the amazing reviews. Though it does taste good, it's nowhere near the best coffee I've had. The price is almost 4x the cost of other similar coffees you'll find out there. At least I've tried it.

Exceptional, but hard to say it's worth the astronomical price.
Exceptional coffee. We bought it for a special occasion and loved it. However, I'm really not enough of a connoisseur to pay five times as much as specialty coffee roasts that are available locally.

What a find!
Being a Vietnam Era Veteran, I was curious as to what coffe comes from Vietnam. This company is unique in that it grows all four varieties of coffee plants in the world and uses them in their blends. The ultimate in quality control. The results are delicious. This blend is the most expensive offered through Amazon, but costs a fraction of the coffee it emulates, the civet coffee that comes from SE Asia, costs thousands of dollars, and is supposed to be the supreme tasting coffee. Trung Nguyen Legendee Gold Coffee duplicates that taste for about $20. It is smooth and tastes like coffee and chocolate. I love it! All of their blends are good.

Two Stars
Kopi Luwak is far superior for taste. Very disappointed.

Excellent bang for my buck
I put a scoop of this on top of espresso every morning and let the espresso machine do its magic... This adds great flavor and a big caffeine boost. It's expensive but IMHO worth every cent! I've had coffee in Vietnam and this is the closest I've come to recreating that unique experience. I recommend this but hope no one buys so it doesn't sell out! <grin> If you like your coffee strong and flavorful, do yourself a favor and buy some of this coffee!
