Good affordable solution
While not as convenient as a bayonet mount or other quick release system, this screw on lens hood does the job nicely. It's a close enough match to the silver lens finish to not detract from appearance. It's also reasonably priced compared to the idiotic price that Olympus wants for their hood. You'll need to get a lens cap that fits the end of the hood or I found that a center pinch 58mm lens cap secures nicely inside the hood. I'll have to wait and see how well it stays in with the E-M5 dangling from my spider holster. The one I ordered arrived with a scuff mark on it but it's not worth doing anything about. My gear gets some rough treatment sometimes anyway and I'd sure to scuff it up a bit too.

Metal color is off, inner thread doesn't hold lens cap at all
So I just received the EzFoto 58mm lens hood for the Olympus 75mm f/1.8. The build quality is pretty nice, but there are several things that I don't like about it. The first one is that the silver color not the same as the 75mm f/1.8. It's kinda close, but I think that if this hood is made specifically for the lens, they should have made matched it better. The second thing I don't like is a bigger deal, however. The inner threads just doesn't catch my BRNO BaLens lens cap at all. My lens cap fits just fine on the 75mm itself, but on the hood, it doesn't stay on. I'm not sure why, but it just doesn't catch. This means that I'd have to be careful in regards to making sure my lens cap doesn't fall off. At least the hood is deep enough to offer protection against any knocks to the lens' front element.

Perfect for silver fuji 50mm f2 lens
Works perfectly for the Fujinon silver 50mm f2 lens! The color matches well and the lens cap is able to be placed back on while hood is in use. Also came with a lens cloth. Exceeded my expectations for the cost. SUPER happy with this purchase! Thank you

Great Value
I like the durability of the metal hood. I purchased it for use with the 30mm f/3.5 Macro Lens. Yes it's screw in, but that's OK. It's a perfect fit and helps control flare.

vignetting
The hood causes vignetting in my images, which means it is too big for my lens.

Fine for most any camera
This isn't only for Leicas, of course. I have several cameras that I purchased used and that came without lens hoods. This light-weight unit works fine, provided the focal length of the lens isn't too short, in which case vignetting may occur. The product may feel a little flimsy, but my assessment is that it's well made, and it doesn't look at all bad when it's in place. A good deal! My only wish for this would be that it was a snap-on mount, rather than screw in, but that's a pretty petty issue.

Good, cheap lens hood
Fits perfectly, looks good, works good. It does use the filter threads, and not the "bayonet" mount on the front of most Leica-mount lenses. But then, the 43mm filter is a standard size, and I think that the 3 big Leica lens makers all have different mounts for their lens shades. And this model is about 1/6th the price.

Perfect with the Fuji X100s and a CPL filter
I used this along with a B+W Xs-Pro Circular Polarizing filter on my Fuji X100s..Why? Because the slimline CPL filter is nearly impossible to turn on the camera, and actually impossible to turn with the Fuji lens hood attached. This beauty screws right into the front element of the CPL, it (almost) matches the color of the stock hood, and perfectly matches the stock hood's appearance otherwise.Fuji X100 owners: Use this hood with your CPL filter - you'll love it!--If you're hesitating on buying because the photo makes it look a little rough cast, don't worry - the actual product looked much better than the photo leads you to think.
