I hope it’s just a minor issue.
Product was delivered quickly and without any damage. Electrician installed the solar panels, wiring, batteries and Simpliphi system in Stand alone/Off grid mode. It was done late in the day so only a few hours to watch it charge the batteries. The problem started when I wanted to charge the batteries in UPS Mode. Every time we plugged in the supplied AC cord into a standard 115 vac wall outlet it would trip the breaker. It would trip it as soon as it’s plugged in. We tried it on multiple outlets same result. Then we tried to charge the batteries from a gas generator and got a fault then tripped circuit. The system setting were followed for grid power connection and battery types. The electrician mentioned it could just be that one component plug for the UPS Mode since the rest of the system is charging from solar but that he would not work on that part of it. I contacted the customer service number but had to leave a message yesterday. I got a recording. I haven’t been called back. I’m assuming it’s because today is Sunday. I will update this review when I am contacted and we resolve the issue. I am hoping it’s just a set up issue.RobertUpdate: Changed to a four star because of their great customer service.

Not a generator
The product description is inaccurate. This is not a generator, it's a rechargeable battery-powered portable inverter (i.e. a giant power bank).

Great energy storage
Great alternative source to a traditional generator.
