Helpful, but a LOT of information for a study guide
This book is good if you want to learn more about project management. It's structured slightly better than the PMBOK itself (and certainly, the writing is worlds better because it's written by a single author). That said, it's a little on the hefty side for a study guide. The questions and exercises helped me ensure I was understanding the material, but in the end, I found an in-person class was a better fit for condensing the material into digestible chunks that were easier to work with.Having recently passed the PMP exam, I can say that it is very important to understand the PMI-specific project management terminology and processes. If you can glean that while reading the book, it will be an effective tool. If you aren't so good at that sort of sifting through and learning, self-study through this book may not be for you. Still, it's a good value for the information contained and I'm happy to keep it as part of my library.
