Obsessed with these
This is my third pair of Otz shoes. Closest thing to being barefoot. LOVE LOVE LOVE. As always with molded foot beds, you need to size exactly the size of your foot (so for example if your foot is a 7 but you have wide feet or low arches so you wear an 8 for comfort, for OTZ or other molded foot beds, you still need to wear a 7.) Don't size up, or your for will not sit right in the shoe.

These DO NOT HAVE THE ELASTIC GUSSET- BEWARE!
This is my second pair of OTZ. My feet scream to be barefoot. (farm raised!) I sweat in any shoe and frankly sandals aren't appropriate everywhere. OTZ I adore. I prefer them over sandals which can bother my feet and back and can be slippery. My first pair I was able to get on sale for $35 and honestly, that's reasonable. I had a hard time handing over $50+ for this pair, but better than the $90+ for some. Right out of the box I could see that something was different. These do not have the elastic gusset on the sides. Missing this important feature makes the break in time a little bit harder on my high instep and I'm still on the fence about keeping them. I will update review if I decide to keep them. I will say what everyone else says, they run small. I have FAT feet and normally wear and american 10-101/2 ww. I bought these in 42EU and they fit without my toe hitting the edge and just wide enough (with the elastic that this particular pair didn't come with) The last pair I'm still wearing after a year or so. I've washed them multiple times. Just last week the heal started tearing (I've been driving a lot and I think that did them in).

These look like simple espadrilles
I have 6 pairs of Otz. These look like simple espadrilles, but the foot bed is very well engineered, making them super comfortable. I have had mixed success with the exteriors, though. I have had a couple of pairs that are going strong after two years, but one pair wore out after only 6 weeks. Customer service at Otz is non-existant.

Love these OTZ shoes!
I like casual shoes and seen people wear these OTZ shoes over the years and decided to finally give them a try. I wear TOMS a lot and these OTZ shoes were a bit cheaper to buy compared to TOMS. Love these OTZ shoes. Easy to get on and has a removable cork insole. Shoes are machine washable....as long as you remove the cork insoles before washing these shoes. Pretty comfy to wear for many hours and I can wear them very easily all day long with no problems. I think these OTZ shoes are make with canvas...lightweight canvas because I have a small hole in the toe already, but I cannot see my toes yet.....also my big toe is gonna poke thru eventually. But I have that issue with TOMS also. They are flats and have a thin rubber-like sole. I really love these sneakers.....not too expensive, nice looking, basic looking, comfortable to wear and seems better built than TOMS. I got several pairs in different colors. My OTZ shoes fit me as expected. If you wear socks with these shoes, you may want to order 1 size up. These shoes do not come in half sizes.....only full sizes. 5 star rating I give these shoes!

Only a Few Wears
LOVE this shoe! I thought about buying this shoe for over 6 months before I bit the bullet. I talked to someone that had this shoe for years, washed them, and they were practically indestructible. However, now that I own a pair. They are made from poor quality materials. I have only worn them 3 times and already there is a hole in the linen at the heel of both shoes. I am very displeased with this product's construction.Besides how poorly they are made, this is the perfect shoe. They fit my foot perfect. I am able to walk miles without my feet hurting. They are the perfect grab and go shoe.I just wished that actually lasted more than three wears, especially when I bought them for around $70.

Great shoes, will buy again!
Amazing shoes! I work at renaissance festivals and regularly walk four miles a day on weekends. I have tried So. Many. Shoes. that look semi-historical, and so few hold up. These are relatively durable, and do not require adding an insole. I originally got the correct size for my foot length, but the front of the opening where you put your foot in was very tight and almost impossible to wear over my ankle brace. I went up a half size and ended up needing to make a small cut in the top band - which is my problem, not the shoe's. I only bring it up to say that the original shoes in the correct size were great for walking around the house and work in an office, but the half size up on the internal insole was more comfortable for being on my feet for 12 hours. I would recommend these all day.

Go w/size larger than chart suggests for US sizes.
I think these will be ok. I have a thick foot due to,surgery. Hoping the top will stretch some. I normally wear a 9, sometimes a 10 US size. Got these in 41. Fit would be perfect if the top wasn't as high. It's my foot issue, the other foot isn't as tight. I have wide feet & width is fine. Just a warning for anyone who may have thick foot. The shoes are nice & I love the support! My daughter has small, narrow, flat feet and loves them, but also went up a size.

Not quite minimal, but at least the toe box is wide
I've been wearing these for about a month now, and as a minimalist slash barefoot shoe they leave a lot to be desired.--PROS--Wide toe box is comfortable and allows for decent splayShoes are relatively stylish--CONS--CorkLite footbed has not molded to my feet at all -- instead, the arch support is constantly painfully jabbing my archesThe soles are completely inflexible, even with the footbed removedThe footbed is so thick that once removed the shoes are way too looseThe shoes are a huge pain to get on and offI emailed their customer service to inquire about the possibility of a flat cork footbed, but their response was incompetent and showed that they truly had no interest in pleasing their customer. Ultimately I would not buy them again. If you're looking for a nice pair of minimal espadrilles, check out Unshoes Terra Vida or something from Vivobarefoot.
