Not to be missed
The first track in the album, Aasman ke, is penned by Mehboob. With beautiful words having an in-depth meaning, this song sounds fresh owing to the smooth blend in KK's vocals!A very youth oriented track titled Dekho na comes across as magnificently. This is a short song but very sensible and hence, a great track.Yeh kahan mil gaye is the third track in the line-up. This song reminds you of Rockford and KK's contribution in terms of songs for the movie. But if a video of this track is released, this will turn out to be a good lounge track.Rain Bhai Kaari which follows next, starts on a good note but is probably meant for listeners in the mature age group. This won't kick fans in the younger age group due to its limited appeal with respect to the lyrics and sound. This also happens to be a very long song and hence, lacks in appeal.Masti, the next track, is very peppy and lively, similar to one of those Rang De Basanti tracks, throbbing with the energy of youth.Humsafar, the title track, is a nice, slow track which allows the listeners to breathe and recollect the past. Beautiful words and a great voice create the perfect ambience and invoke the track.Deewana hai mera dil sounds like a typical Bollywood number. The music seems to have taken over the vocals. The lyrics sound a little off-beat for the kind of composition for this track. But a good listening experience.Cineraria - the most beautiful song of the album. This is an all-English song and is classy in its execution. It gets aggressive as it progresses, adding to the overall feel of the song. The song then takes a beautiful turn where there is a minimum use of instruments and just KK's voice taking over the listener. All in all, not to be missed!
