hey the steel is awesome
I have cut a couple neck knives out of this stuff and it hardens really well. I love this steel probably because it is easier to get than some of the other steels on amazon. The company that sent it to me is great. It gets here fast and is the only company that offers prime so yeah, you get my business.

Mine was not annealed
Buyer beware the piece I received was not annealed it was hardened. Nice quality just not as described. Probably a mistake but still.

The product arrived not being annealed. You cannot cut this steel with a bandsaw. Very dissatisfied!

the edges of the steel seem hardened.
edges are hardened, maybe more. i havent got past the edge of the blank to see if the whole thing is hardened or not. I cant cut it easily. I must anneal now....which should have been done according to the listing.

Not annealed, too hard to cut
As someone else mentioned, this is definitely no annealed. I'm new to making blades so it took some research before I figured out why my hacksaw and files weren't doing anything at all to this billet.
