Doesn't last long
I bought this in Sept of 2019. Used it a month only on weekends when I was home. Only had about 4 hours sun each day. Spotty functioning. I expected this because of lack of sun exposure. Following summer, 2020 I used it for 4 months, only on the weekend again with spotty functioning with limited sunshine. Moved to new house with full sun all day long. Put it out yesterday wouldn't go on with full sun for 5 hours, then started. Ran for 20 minutes off. Today, again with full sun all day long, it still has spotty functioning. Goes on for 20 mins, off for 2 hours, on and off. I thought it was the location where we lived for the past 2 years without long sun exposure. But now we are in a new house with southerly facing backyard and it still functions like garbage. So for a total of roughly 30 days use(that is being generous) it barely worked. Looking for another one that actually has a battery and on off switch for functioning.

Update..didnt work
Didnt work. After 2 days in the Florida sun, I have no working fountain.Update: customer service for the product was very good. They contacted me and sent a replacement fountain. However, it still barely trickles. It is intermittent. I am not impressed by the product at all and wouldn't recommend it or order it again. I was asked by the vendor to delete my previous comment. I cannot do this and dont appreciate being asked to do so when I told them it was not functioning as advertised.I feel after 2 tries it is not worth the cost of the product. There is no fountain.

Just love my solar fountain!
The media could not be loaded. I couldn't wait to get the fountain. The reasons I purchased this one was because of the battery back up and that if the water runs out, it will stop and not burn out! The suction cups don't work too well but I think I am going to do what another person did and add decorative stones around it! The instructions came with a tip to put in full sun by itself for 2 hours. I did this because the area i will locate it is only partial sun. It works like a charm. Love it! It's only day 1 but I couldn't be more pleased.UPDATE: I found a small glass cutting board at the dollar store. The fountain suction cups attach to it and weighs it down. No more floating around. Love watching birds bath and critters drink from it.

Great little pump for the money
I like this little pump. I bought it to put in a bird bath to help keep the water cleaner and add a little visual interest. It works great, and has enough of a battery to run even near dusk. It comes with little suction cups on it to hold it on the bottom and keep it submerged, but the concrete is too rough for the suction cups to stick so I weighted it down with a couple of small rocks.

Works if you keep water clean and unit in direct sunlight
Liked ease of use. Didn’t like that various attachments were hard to take off and change. I only use the base unit and the water bibles up in a stream about 2.5-3 inches high. That’s enough so the water doesn’t splash out. I change out the water and clean the bird bath pan every week. Don’t know if the battery works or not. When the sun is clouded over it doesn’t work.

These types get loose or can come open still work yet can arrive not completely fasten Ed yet still run string if u can reclip or glue foam float minor. Very big two foot small fountain. Immediately power with a light touch some days. Small ponds will empty if drip s over or out sprinkling to a drain fast if small

works for me
I bought two of these fountains to use in circulating water in small kiddy pools. I have now used them for 24 hours and they work pretty good. They float on the water surface ok. I have not seen that the battery storage is of any value. I do not see the fountain working for even one minute after the sun shine disappears ...

So cute
This works great. I don't have full sun on the pool but as soon as the light hits the panel it starts up. It is cute and my cats like it. Also the circulation helps keep down algea.
