Classical Kerosene Lighter,Copper Windproof Brass Lighter Collection/Decorative/Gift

This is a pretty good reproduction trench lighter. It takes some time getting used to it, you combine both opening and lighting it unlike a Zippo where you open first then light. It's small and thin, has a wind guard that you can move up or down and yes just like a Zippo the longer it's on and open the hotter the cap will be when you close it, take caution there. And it even comes with extra flints which is always appreciated. Not to mention the little wooden box and canvas bag gives it a nice gift quality, if you were to give this as a present.

This lighter rules. It lights well in the wind. Importantly, it has a good seal. I've only had to fill it twice in the weeks I've owned it. Seems like very little is lost to evaporation.It's developed a petunia over time but it looks cool so I don't mind. A little bit of the coating got scratched off, adds character.

This is my second trench style lighter from Honest. The lighter looks good, has a nice mechanic wheel and a long fuel reserve. Only problem I have which I also have with the other style Honest I own is that the thin brass gets hot quick. Would really like to see the company address this, but otherwise it's a good buy.

Love, love, love, this lighter. Great talking piece. Perfect addition to my Brass EDC set. Very well made despite it being a knockoff from Asia. If I hadn't personally bought it I would never have known it was not the name brand. A must buy for anyone looking for a vintage, steampunk'ish style lighter. I will be buying another as backup as well as others for gifts! Another bonus is that it came in a nice little wooden box and included with it was additional flint pieces.

It leans to one side. wobbles and falls over easily. It looks to me like the problem is caused by a poorly machined fill cap. It doesn't seat into the bottom of the lighter quite straight and flush. Sorry, I wasn't able to capture the flaw in a pic. This problem bothers me to no end. It's not really worth my time to return it. My local print shop gets almost $3 to print a return label. + my time. The flint that came in this lighter lasted about a day. Same with the full tank of fluid that I put in it. I don't smoke sigs, That's just from me playing with it off and on through out the day.What a shame. I thought it was nice at first. By the time I picked it up the next day, I realized that it really isn't. Maybe that's why this one only costs about $12. Other ones that I saw with different branding, from other sellers were in the $20 price range. Cool lighter if it wasn't for the poorly machined fill cap. If I had to do it again , I would go with the $20 one from a different seller and hope for better results. You might wanna just go with the other style of lighter that you can see in the pics. It's a real winner !That lighter made me realize that there is no need for me to waste my time or money on any more lighters. No need for me to get into starting a collection when that one really stands out to me and is the one that I go straight to every time. Great spring loaded action on that one. Smooth and reliable. Impressive.

It lasted 2 weeks before the thumbwheel broke off. I used it once a day to start the woodstove every morning.Fortunetely it broke so quickly that it is still inside Amazon's return period, so back it goes - for a refund, not a replacement.
