The mug works perfectly for hot liquid containment and consumption. However, the lid I received has consistently taken on water whenever placed in the dishwasher or submerged in water. When this occurs, I have to shake the lid for about one minute to try to get all of the water out. I'm guessing that the lid came with a small hole or crack in it and that water is getting into the hollowed out part of the lid structure. I have not discovered a way to wash it without this happening. Note that I have followed the directions for dishwasher cleaning: "We recommend the lid be placed upside down on the top rack with the sealing button in the open position."I bought this mug specifically to replace another mug that was annoying to hand wash. Therefore, I cannot give this product a good review and I am considering switching to another brand.

I like the height and shape of this mug. I also like that I can fit my hand down into it to wash it with soap and water. What I don't like about it is the rough texture on the lid. I used it for the first time this morning to drink coffee. Each time I went to drink from it, I felt the roughness of the lid and it really started to irritate my lip. I even tried to maneuver it differently when it started bothering me more and more. I never finished drinking the coffee. I've never had this happen with another mug before. This mug would only be useful for me to transport coffee to work and then to pour the coffee out into a separate cup to drink from. I had high hopes for this mug as my other one has gotten old and needs to be thrown out. I'm seriously thinking about returning it.

Is does keep my coffee piping hot, just how I like it, but the coffee barely trickles through the mouth piece/valve system. It is very frustrating to have to wait for enough liquid to make it to your mouth. If the manufacturer reads this review and has a solution, I will continue to use this mug, otherwise I'm hunting for another. UPDATE 10/6/15 - Just changed from 3 star to 5 star. STAK contacted me via email and offered to replace the mug via Amazon. I took them up on the offer and this one flows much better.

Baught this mug to keep my tea warm at bedside during the nights (breastfeeding and always thirsty) and be able to drink it safely while holding my baby. It keeps the temperature perfectly for many hours, has a comfortable shape for holding and drinking from, and lets the tea/coffee out in a moderate flow (prevents from spills and gulping too much hot liquid). Would definitely recommend it.

Works great in terms of keeping your coffee warm, but lid has to be soaked immediately after use otherwise crud starts to build up inside lid and there is absolutely no way to take it apart and scrub it down. Learned the hard way.

We've had this product just over one month and already the plastic button on the top as well as the rubber ring around the top STINKS! It literally smells so bad that you cannot drink the coffee. I've used PurCaf to neutralize the stink but it doesn't help. We can't even use the cup and lid because it upsets our stomach and requires Tums. This is the worst thermal cup I've ever had. Unfortunately, it's a week past the refund time, so I'll just have to toss them and consider this a loss. Too bad.

Very nice coffee mug. Keeps the coffee hot. I really like the one push button way of opening it to pour. It does not leak or drip at alleast which means no accidental coffee stains on your shirt. This can be used for cold or hot liquids.

read manufacturers instructions on how to clean, doesnt seem to matter though, liquid is constantly trapped in lid. cant tell if its old coffee, dish water or a little of both, but its really disgusting and probably a health hazard.
