SIMA 50'' Tripod STV-50K

I bought this for a budget project I was putting together. At 50" tall it fit the needs of height and price. This tripod does exactly what it's was designed to do. It has all the same features of more expensive tripods, but the build quality matches the price tag. So far it has worked flawlessly, but I do tend to be a little more gently with it because the metal itself is fairly thin and the plastic is not the best. If you are looking for a top quality tripod for your ten thousand dollar camera and lens setup, I would keep looking. If you want a functional tripod for a rock bottom price then you have a winner. I don't know how long this unit will last, but for the price I wouldn't hesitate to buy another as a replacement for the current one when it does break.

This is by no means a high quality tripod, but for taking a few family photos with a point and shoot digital camera, it does the job. If you have a heavy DSLR camera or need something rugged, this isn't it. Invest in something more expensive and higher quality. If you have a lightweight camera and are using around the house or for a family party, this will work fine.

This tripod doesn't have as many moving parts as some better ones, but this will get the job done. Just don't manhandle this thing. I've already broken a clamp for a leg so it has to sit even shorter than what I wanted. This is something you give to your kids because yours is far more expensive and better. I wouldn't take this outside, cause it'll bend easier than an iPhone 6 in your back pocket.
