Tried these as a cheaper alternative to another leading market brand we'll call Hillips Pue (which I own numerous of), and can honestly see why they're cheaper. They lack the smoothness in interface and the guarantee to work every time you start the app. Every time, either one or multiple bulbs "offline" or just don't respond at all, even despite following all directions and making sure everything is updated. And they're a b***h to get to come back online even with multiple resets or bulbs/network/etc. Very VERY aggravating to work with.Only up side to these, when they actually work the way they're supposed to, is the lumen output in the white ranges decently exceeds that of my leading brand white+colour bulbs. But honestly I will pay the premium to ensure I get bulbs that work the way they're supposed to every time. Not at the flip of a coin.Would send these back if I could, but unfortunately my other half binned the boxes they came in. So guess I'm stuck with them for better or worse. Just another example of cheap Chinese wannabe products.

With Philips Hue you need to purchase a separate bridge to control the bulbs and the bulbs are eye-wateringingly expensive. These two reasons alone are what have stopped me purchasing them in the past and were both reasons I tried the YeeBulb.For less than £20 you can have an RGB (colour) bulb that doesn’t require anything other than you to install it as you would any bulb and download the Yeelight app. That’s it! It has all the functionality of the Hue, the same amount of lumens (it’s just as bright) and the quality feels spot on.Ultimately it works, it responds as quickly as you would expect and it works efficiently with IFTTT. I don’t use the Echo or the Google Home so can’t confirm this but judging on other reviews, this works just as well.If you’re wanting smart bulbs that you can set ‘scenes’, apply particular colours, turn it on and off when you leave the house etc. change events at certain times of the day etc. the Hue can do this. But so can the Yeelight. WITHOUT the hub. And for HALF THE PRICE.Give it a try. It’s not like you’re spending £40 for one...

 This is really brilliant! Out of the box, it’s ready to go and no setup. Very simple to use albeit just as effective. The light has three modes, off, auto and on. Auto mode is what I’ve got it set as and functions just as it should. Soon as someone approaches or the light detects motion in the area, it turns on. The light itself is really calmingly warm and perfect for the night. It also holds a lot of charge, in yet to charge it once!Just an update: it’s been almost a month, and I’ve still not needed to charge the nightlight!

Bright enough when using normal white but when using colours loses quite a bit of light output. However for the price you cant go wrong. No controller required, I believe they are controllled by a cloud controller. However I enabled developer mode using the Android app and now manage them using my Home Assistant setup.

How did I not know about this wonderful invention until now?It’s so great to control your light from your phone!This bulb in particular is very easy to use. You just need to download an app. And you can play changing the colours for hours:)I also managed to install it myself (never happened before! :) )It’s quite cheap, but I’m using mine for a few weeks now and honestly don’t know why would I pay extra for a branded one.Really pleased with this purchase.A piece of advice: Get your measurements right before buying. The bulb is quite big so won’t fit to a standard lamp.

This is my first time using a smart light or gadgets.. whatever. And I'm really impressed. To set it up was a bit long, have to reset the lights a couple of times (which is easy) but then, it worked perfectly. I loved all the preset lights, the app also works really smooth. I definitely recommend that.

Excellent smart bulb with beautiful light, lots of colours to choose from. And it dosen't require a hub, very easy to set up.I have one in my bedroom, you can create your own light patterns and adjust the brightness, also you can set the bulb to automatically switch off or on at set times.Very cool product, definitely one of the best bulbs I've bought.Love it and share it to everyone!!

The app and light bulb works well with both Alexa and Google Assistant. However, the bulb itself comes with some minor imperfections such as loud buzzing sound at high brightness and poor colour representation at the region of purple and pink. Overall, this RGBW bulb does the job well, a good product by Xiaomi.
