I finally returned this machine after my last breaking point and from my research I am not the only one.Let me tell you something if you are considering buying this machine, you will get the power outage in terms of Hz. This thing out the box was pushing 4.5. Which, of course, means I had to undervolt my CPU and GPU because I was averaging 95° C on a cold surface with a cooler.Outside of that, the built in firmware is awful. Truly just the definition of sporadic. There were times when I had my trackpad's driver's disappear. On more than one occasion, if I plugged in an external mouse, the track pad would shut off like intended in the setting and stay hidden like a FBI informant trying to stay off the grid out of fear of being discovered by their abusive spouse. That was until it just decided to comeback after years of giving up.The most egregious thing to come from this machine was when the 2, the entire damn reason I bought this particular machine, decided to erase itself from the computer completely. It took an obscure fix I found on page 24 of Tom Hardware. It was the only page that over 100 people were having an issue with. Took forcing an install of my Nvidia drivers in safe mode in order for it to be recognized.If there is even a chance you can encounter the sodomizing I received, it ain't worth it.

Update:I have downloaded around 500gbs of various files, programs, and information. I monitored the downloads and the performance after. I've had high end desk tops that did not preform as smoothly, quickly, or as quiet as this one.Dozens of Gigabytes can be moved and copied within minutes and the computers temperatures hardly rise. Highest I have seen is 65 degrees, resulting in an almost silent PC.Usually, I have issues loading all of my plugins to my software but not anymore, everything runs flawlessly and highly intensive plugins opening/running with ease. I can clearly read every word within every program.Flawless PC!-----------------------------I will be using this laptop for Audio Production and so far I have had zero complications with set up.I have been watching my thermal temps and have only seen as high as 60 degrees celsius. Not everything is downloaded and running at once as of yet either but I do plan to turn down the turbo boost to manage those thermals once it is. Also note that I have tested the thermals during downloads thus far.I've checked the about section and BIOS and it is indeed @ 64gbs RAM and an RTX 2070. Running very smoothly.Keyboard will not be able to change colors, as the Omen Control Center is having issues. I can not open it or download, however; Red is my favorite color and I am perfectly fine using that alone.Unfortunately, I will not be able to leave any sort of review towards gaming on this Laptop. I will not be playing anything game related, this pc is is strictly for work. I have left a fair 3 star on the "Gaming" review for this PC, so that I am not misleading on that aspectI expect the battery life to be plentiful, again as I will not be gaming on this device.

Omen command center will not let you run the fans manually, your only options are performance modes like Comfort (cool) natural, and performance (high heat). i previously owned a dell alienware laptop that had a burnt graphics card and was told it would cost more to fix than to buy a new one. So i don't want this thing going anywhere close to high temps which it does anytime you play pretty much, you're limited to games that run low demanding settings to avoid overheating which is unfair, the 2070 max q should be about on par with my desktop a 1070 and it is, it runs games fantastically, playing a bit of the battlefield hardline campaign was awesome but the heat from running at such high settings was too much for the system and will eventually give it a pre mature end. VR games are a letdown also, it can't handle much at all running the oculus S before it starts getting hot again. which is a shame as that's one of the main reasons i bought the thing.now after all that the device has a nice keyboard, extremely crisp screen, a fair amount of ports, and a good amount of power, but lastly it suffers two more issues, very poor battery life and audio issues with the left headphone port, the battery will last probably an hour gaming tops, and 2 hours casually surfing on full charge. the headphone port will not play audio until after a couple of seconds of sound which is very annoying.so essentially i really want to love this thing but it's lack of user cooling options and constant need to be plugged in make it hard to love.

I love the fact that I could customize the laptop to my own preference. Not only that, I love the fact that the components used in these laptops are top notch. It blows my mind that companies use sub par components in their laptops and charge a premium for it. So far, the laptop works fantastic and with all the specs I ordered. First the actually box of the order was already opened(the box for omen laptop. Not the Cover box) Second there is 3 bright weird shape points on the screen(as you can see on the photo. Please look top of the screen I’m showing with fully same collor black background to showing easier.) I tried with same color full of screen with different colors and It happened with different colors. And last problem it zapping me from left side. Before I touched the pc I’m doing pretty pre-touches before it zapps me.
