Works well in combination with a couple of other things
It does what it says it will do, as you can see from the picture I’ve included. I have two giant-breed long-haired dogs, and I’m pretty long haired myself, and it definitely helped collect some of the hair off of my clothes. It does, unfortunately, also catch on loose threads, as other reviewers have commented, but so far that’s really only affected my underwear, so I’ll just be more careful about keeping that in separate load. I’ve been using a combination of this, some Fur Zappers, and wool dryer balls and the mix of all of these is doing the best job I’ve seen so far of cleaning fur, hair and lint off of my clothes in the laundry. I put the Zappers and this ball in both the wash and dry cycles for best effect, and don’t use any fabric softener. The wool dryer balls take care of that function. I may get another one, since I think using two may further increase the effectiveness. Be aware, you will have to pull the hair and fur out of the ball, which is fairly easily done under running water.

Doesn’t remove cat hair
I’ve had this for months. Originally I bought it to help remove cat hair from clothing/bedding/sheets. It doesn’t really pick up small strands of hair but it does a great job removing my long hair from clothing. I also notice a lot of other lint on it as well.

Abrasive on clothing, did not catch lint
I was surprised to receive in the mail a slightly different and cheaper-looking version of the ball. It was abrasive and catching on every loose piece of drawstring or thread still attached to my clothes. The ball got tangled-up with the loose threads still attached to the inside of my socks, and got knotted up with the drawstrings of my gym shorts. Very very little was actually caught on the ball which was independent of the clothes (and even that might have been pulled-off the clothes). I used it in a toploader, and I gave one to my friend who uses a sideloader, and neither of us will use it again. Disappointing. 95% a scam, in my view. Maybe in some specific controlled conditions, it may work a little. But for everyday washing, don't waste your money (or damage your clothes).

Not that effective.
Remove some hair and fuzz but not effective for removing microfibers.

Works great!
This thing is wonderful! There are 3 girls, all with long hair in this house and this thing collects pretty much all of the hair off of our clothes in the dryer! Before I could pick off a pile of hair off of one shirt, now this thing collect it all!

Does not work
It did absolutely nothing but get some clothes tangled in it. I own a portable washing machine so I manually fill the tub and such. When I was finished with the second rinse I saw zero lint on the ball. The clothes, however, were full of lint. Not sure if it’s a faulty product or what but it’s hard to misuse as it should work just by tossing it inside the machine tub.

Worth every cent if your a pet owner!
With a houseful of dogs, cat, bird and sister (not in that order) I needed something more to tackle the hair. This is awesome!!! No not use with hand washable loose knit items. Big, huge, HUGE mess....

Doesn’t work, Don’t. Buy!
Horrible, attached itself to every spaghetti strap, shorts tie, tank top and underwear in the load, tied it in literal knots. It wouldn’t let me attach photos
