AL30B Biometric Smart Lock Bluetooth Keypad Deadbolt, Keyless Door Lock for Front Door, with 5 Mifare Cards

I'm giving it 3 stars mostly just because it does actually lock with the cards which is nice. I had hoped to use this to track who was going in and out of the building. I can only access those records when I am within bluetooth range of the lock which is frustrating and not mentioned anywhere in the listing description. The listing also describes "Private Mode" which should be where only admin users can use the lock. But, from what I've read you can only do that from the inside and then it disables when an admin locks/unlocks the unit. So I suppose if you wanted that option only when you were inside that would be great, but I was hoping to use it to lock out other users when they are not supposed to be in the building. There is so little information in the user manual that it's very difficult to get a solid grasp on everything. And, the app does not tell you if the door is locked or unlocked, so remotely accessing the unit is not very realistic, because you have no idea what state the lock is in when you hit the lock/unlock button. Also, there is button that says "normal lock mode" in the app and then nowhere in any of the literature does it explain what that actually means. So disappointing.

The ZKTeco Outdoor Bluetooth Enabled Keyless Keypad Deadbolt Door Lock AL30B is a good and secure lock "Well as secure as any lock is right next to a window. The lock is well made of good strong materials. The problem is the documentation, and the app. it's fine as a stand alone lock but the app is flakey, looses BT connection even within 5 feet of the lock, there is virtual no documentation on the website or the included manual on connecting the app.Im trying to give a fair review, some will slam me for giving a low rating but the one reason for buying this unit was the remote login that I could give a temporary password to guests or the cleaning service. This has been a pain so far, but hopefully that will improve.

Works pretty good, voice setup isn't very clear.
