Exterior Wood Stain Concentrate For Fence, Shed, Decking And More - Makes 5 Litres - 17 Beautiful Colours (English Oak)

This was bought to stain the furniture I have made for my man cave.The bottle once added to water goes a lighter colour.I added half a bottle to 1.5ltrs of water and shook the bottle for about a minute to allow all of the pigment to mix correctly.I used sponge brushes to apply the stain and it goes a lovely colour.I only added small amounts to the tub I was dipping my brush into as the pigment started to separate if you add too much and take too long to apply it.once I used what was in the tub I shook the bottle again before pouring more stain out.It's best if you mix enough stain for the jobs you want to place together in case the colour is slightly different.I guess its a bit like getting the right batch number on wallpaper.I used this in the man cave I built during lock down and everyone who see's the wood I have stain is really impressed.

Considering how watery this is, it did a much better job than I expected. You will need at least 2 coats. I was covering a faded black fence with the black stain and it looks good after 1 coat but could probably use another. I really only bought this because I couldn't get my usual fence paint this year in lockdown.The only thing I don't like about it is the price. It doesn't advertise any protection for the wood, purely staining and so it's pretty expensive just to stain, I could buy a stain with protection much cheaper normally.

We used this to give a tired old wooden trailer a facelift. Several coats of stain were needed to get the required depth of colour. We consulted the company to ask if a top varnish would be needed and Alex was most helpful. Normally not needed for there exterior range, but because this was to be towed on the road Alex thought it may be necessary. We bought a reputable varnish and tried it on a well dried and cured test piece of wood, the varnish did not dry well or look good, so we left the stained trailer as it was. We did this in early spring and the trailer has had much use. It has not marked or faded and still looks great. We do cover it with a large waterproof cover when not in use. I am really fed up ... I ordered two bottles of this product and used it up on my decking .... I've just ordered another two to do the underneath because you can see under it from the lane I live on ... I love the colour and it went on fabulously but as soon as I have started to use the decking and walking on it and put my furniture on it it's chipping off so looks tatty already and ive only just started using the deck so only hod knows what it will look like in a month's time. ... I wouldn't have been as annoted have I had not ordered another two bottles that are going to go to waste. .. if you don't walk on it or you cover with a decking varnish after it will probably be OK but left it isn't

I like the colour of the product but you need a few coats to build the colour up. it has worked better on some items than others, but i think in one case another product had been used previously and the stain hasn't been as successful. i would be happy to use this product again.

Great value and very economical. As it is concentrated and needs diluting, it comes in a useful size for storage. Following the dilution instructions, although it seemed a little watery, it covered well and so far seems to have fared well in both the hot sunshine and torrential rain we have recently had. Only time will tell how effective it is long term but there is plenty left for an annual top up which I always have had to do anyway with well know expensive branded products.

Great product and the coverage is amazing. The more coats you do the darker it becomes. Great it comes in a concentrate and water down yourself. Product is obviously watery but that's expected when watering down, however it took to multiple different types of wood and looks amazing.

Great way to buy fence stain as a concentrate. Mixed well with water and covered my fence quickly and even.
