SOOLALA New Wood Bamboo Rimless Frame Magnifying Reading Glasses w/Metal Rivets, Silver, 3.5D

I can't understand all the rave reviews I read here. Hopefully I received two pair of defective glasses. The glasses look great, are packaged with hard cases, cleaning cloth and even a tiny screwdriver. Unfortunately I can't wear the case or cleaning cloth or cases. The glasses look super indeed and are extremely light. Everything about them look great until you put them on. The first thing you'll notice is how stiff and tight the hinges are. I don't believe it will take much before they snap. The second problem is the metal connectors that hold the glass to the frame. They are in clear sight of the visual field making you feel that something is stuck on the glass. The worst thing is the distortion. The second you look to either side while not moving your head, the distortion is horrible. Now before anyone writes and tells me this is true of all over the counter reading glasses, I have many pairs of these reading glasses which were ordered right here at Amazon. Look at my reviews. None of those have this much distortion. I'm afraid I can't recommend these glasses.

These are my go to glasses for everyday wear. I am one who has a pair for walking about, a pair for watching television and a pair to use a PC. All different strengths. Sad being old!!!! Anyway, they don't come with the strength on them so I have to write that on the inside of the arm. Apart from that, they take abuse----(Falling asleep in front of TV and lean on them kind of tough). Come with a case, clothe, spare nose rubbers and a handy eye glass screw driver wrench combination tool (very handy). For $13, I get more comments from people about these than my $300 sunglasses. So they are stylish and functional.

At first blush, these readers look terrific, but everyday use is obviously a problem. I have had these for all of one day and a pair is already broken. I placed them in my breast pocket and an hour later I pulled term out only to find them broken. I did not hit anything, or bump into anything with any measurable force. I didn't even hear term break. I can only assume that they broke when I reached to put on my seatbelt? I don't know, but I certainly can't see myself buying another set.

These are well made reading glasses. The lenses are thick and not thin or flimsy. The are very sturdy as well. I had bought a pair of these at my local store a week ago but they did not have it in the gold accent in my strength. So luckily I found them on Amazon. So now I have two pairs one in the silver with black bamboo arms and the gold accent with the wooden bamboo arms. They do the job and look very nice on. Very comfortable also. This also comes with a nice sized case with a zipper.

'I can see clearly now, the rain has come...'Once you go into a Walgreens or any place that has reading glasses and you find what you need, I tried several places and my reading distance came up with 1 to 1.5 so I was cool with .5 difference...These glasses are comfortable, seem to be strong and I have been asked where I bought them and how stylish they were, expensive right? I just smiled... GOT 'EM ON AMAZON.COMIt's nice to have the best of both worlds without paying the money...I went for the to for (both pairs)...Ps. I couldn't believe the strong amazing case with magnet closing flap... VERY NICE PEOPLE

Update:Wore the second pair for two days and this afternoon they literally fell off my face.I was walking from the living room to the dining room when they fell from my face in two pieces: the left arm somehow separated from the main part of the glasses. I kid you not-all I was doing was walking.Original Review:At first I was enamored. So lightweight, nice case, other extras. Did what I wanted-enabled me to go from the computer to the tv seamlessly.Then they started to slide down my nose. I gently pushed to hopefully make them fit again. As you can see in the photo, that didn't work out so well.

I love the way these glasses look and fit, BUT I dislike that they don't last for long. I've bought several pair and either: (1) the screws always need tightening - always. (2) the screws have fallen out and you can't find them (3) they break at the nose bridge (4) they break at the arms where the bamboo meets a small piece of the frame. For the very first time since ordering several pair, I finally sent two back and requested an exchange, but for whatever reason, the vender Soo La La decided to refund my money instead.

DO NOT BUY! Health Warning! The bamboo is not sealed and formaldehyde was used to form the bamboo. It purchased the product months ago and they will not air out. I sealed the frames with polyurethane which is a solution for bamboo flooring. But with the frames right by your eyes you still cannot wear the glasses as the fumes will slowly burn your eyes.
