For the price, this little collection of recipes is just right for the beginner. It would have been nice to know what “pewter water” is

A standard basic collection of powder and oil recipes. Author has stuck to tried and true ingredients, making them easy and fairly fast to concoct. There are a few herbs not everyone will have on hand but I feel that anyone purchasing this book is going to be prepared to procure an herb or two if they dont already have them. Overall an easy and quick reference guide for classic oil and powder recipes.

I was a little bit disappointed because I've thought it would have more recipes. I would have love to see by example a recipe for Van van oil which is essential in hoodoo.I am not an expert but graveyard dirt is not really an ingredient in a Hot Foot powder. You should be careful with that stuff.

So simple to conjure these spells, very powerful oils and powders. A very easy read. Direct advice. Read the other two books in this series for more advice and knowledge. Thankyou

Overall, a good, solid book on basic formulas.Could definitely do with some disambiguation and a spell-check though - some words have typos and other ingredients are listed by folk name only, which becomes confusing if there are many plants with the same or similar folk names. It would be amazing to see suggested substitutions as well, as many plants are not available outside of certain regions of the planet, but even without substitutions it's a good book for beginners especially. Would go well as a complement to other books on the spiritual options of Hoodoo as well.
