eBags Crew Cooler II Soft Sided Insulated Lunch Box - For Work

I'm away from my house from 5:30am-8pm most days Mon-Fri, so I bought this cooler bag to pack my food for the day.I had (what I thought at the time was) a brilliant of consolidating the "necessary items" from my purse into this, to minimize how much crap I had to carry to and fro. Needless to say, being a woman, that idea failed miserably because there's always that "one more thing" I need to have in my purse. I like to think someday I'll be able to grab a wallet and cell phone and have all I'll ever need in life. But that day is not imminent.And this bag, let me tell you. "Big bag syndrome". The bigger the bag, the more things find their way into it. This bag is my little soldier. The abuse it takes is almost comical, and I kid you not every single day I'm just waiting for that shoulder strap to break under the weight it carries.Every day it carries at LEAST 3-4 cans of diet soda, a liter of water, full bottle of mustard, 2 turkey sandwiches, 2-3 apples, rubbermaid container of hardboiled eggs, 4 slim freezy-cooly-squares, and a rubbermaid container with 1-2 Kcups, mini-moos, and splenda (the coffee creamer I used to bring in and keep in the fridge somehow was never around when I wanted to use it).My car keys live on the side pocket. Keys to other things on the other side pocket. 4-6 protein bars and probably the same amount of Fiber One cereal bars live in the top compartment, along with my pill/vitamin case and other miscellaneous paperwork I fold up and think "...deal with that later"Front compartment holds unnamed quantities of packs of gum, sugar-free candy, lip balms, individually wrapped Ghiardhelli intense dark chocolate squares. All things necessary for survival, really.It's gotten to the point where my coworkers have started making comments and teasing me. "What do you HAVE in that thing??" I like my coworkers so I don't mind the ribbing. I tell them "A cinder block". At this point it might as well be!But I still need my purse. I won't take away a star for that. That's all me.This bag is ridiculous. I'm obsessive and I toiled probably a lot longer than what most "normal" people would, in my quest for the perfect large size cooler lunch bag. Easily, this was the win. And for a price well below all of the trendy meal-prep-compartment-type cooler bags that are apparently "the thing" to have these days.Dont buy into that mainstream bs. This bag is diesel and will hold your entire life.

This is the perfect lunch box (bag). I needed one big enough to fit not only the Pyrex glass containers I use, but also my water and beverages that I take to work. I have been carrying two lunch boxes... one for food... and the other for my drinks. This is so much better. This lunch box fits everything, but is not too big to fit easily into the refrigerator. I just ordered a 2nd one for my husband.

Seems like a quality lunch bag. A bit pricey however description says that it is made in the USA so I don't mind paying a little more. However, upon further inspection I come to find that it IS made in China. Ebags obviously doesn't mind lying to us so keep that in mind before you purchase it.

Absolutely love it.------Original Review-------There's a reason why this lunch bag gets stellar reviews.I've been taking my lunch to work for years and I'm a self-proclaimed lunch bag connoisseur. I'm always on the lookout for a good product because a good, large lunch bag is so hard to find! Whenever I'm in a department store, camping/outdoor store, and even online, I'm always looking to replace my current bag which I just consider adequate. There are PLENTY of big bags out there that one can use, but the challenge is always trying to find a bag that is big enough and easy to use, without being too big to be impractical. EBags has struck gold by settling on a size that fits smack dab in the middle ground where there are so few competitors. It's big enough for a large lunch, and then some, but not so big that it's the bag you take to the lake for an afternoon with the family.The one thing that I absolutely love about this bag is the size and the height. I carry my own water to work so that is why I need a large bag. It's VERY rare to find a lunch bag that can accommodate 2-32oz Nalgene bottles along with a sizable lunch. Also, I take real meals into work and not sandwiches, so I tend to use tupperware which can take up a substantial amount of room. With this bag I'm able to STAND 2-32oz Nalgene bottles up in the main compartment and have a square 4.2-cup Rubbermaid container of soup and a 3.2-cup container of rice (stacked on top of each other). Also in that compartment I put 2 Blue Ice packs. There is still a small amount of room in the main compartment after packing this, but not so much that everything is going to slide around inside. In the top compartment I put 3 ziploc bags containing pistachios, pretzels, and dates. Again, there is room left over in the top compartment for more. If you're interested, you can lay one 32oz Nalgene bottle in the top compartment and believe it or not, I can actually even squeeze it in the side zip-out drink holders (it's a REALLY tight fit though so I'm sure it'd violate the integrity of the product quite quickly). I put my spoon in the front compartment and there is plenty of room in there for other utensils.For food containers, I've switched to using Kinetic Go Green GlassLock 1332 17-Ounce Square Glass Food-Storage Containers with Locking Lids and they fit in this bag perfectly. Not only do they stack nicely and are leakproof, but you can stack two of them and still have room to put a Blue Ice pack on the top of them. With two of these in the main compartment, I can still put in two Nalgene bottles on the other side. If you wanted to, you could actually fit 4 of these containers in the main compartment and it'd fill it up about 90%.The zip-out liner is a god-send; it's like I was able to design this bag myself. The zippers, which are many a lunch bags downfall, are freaking incredible. Big and beefy with a heavy and strong zipper track make getting into and out of it so smooth and easy. It's like the zippers came off of some high-quality luggage. Ebags definitely knew what they were doing here.The handles are very nice and I appreciate that they didn't sew that annoying velcro flap to the handles so you can velcro/hold them together. Although I removed the shoulder strap, there are quick releases for it so you can remove/add it with ease. The attachment buckles for the strap are also nice and beefy without being gaudy or distracting from the overall look.There is a nice rubberized bottom to keep it durable and the overall quality is top-notch. This WILL last a long time for sure. After I ordered the black I thought I'd regret the color but that's not the case. It's very sharp, classy, and professional looking, and I appreciate that for the office environment I work in.Overall, this is a freaking 10-star lunch bag. I've been on the lookout for YEARS for a bag that would fit my unique needs and this is without a doubt the best bag I've ever used/seen. I can't say enough about this bag and I can't believe it's priced so well.Although I think this bag is excellent, I can always find something to improve upon, so here are my recommendations to eBags on how to improve this excellent bag.--------------------- Recommended improvements for eBags ---------------------------1. Sew the hand straps to the main body and not the lid. This will allow you to carry/move the container unzipped without things spilling out.2. Change the location of the shoulder strap buckles. If you remove the shoulder strap, the buckles that are left can sometimes impede with zipper operation. This isn't really a problem when you have the strap attached because the weight of the strap pulls the buckle down, and out of the way of the zipper. You can fix this by either extending the main compartment upwards by 1/2 inch, or lowering the buckle.3. Please put some type of rubber on the strap so that it doesn't slide off your shoulder when carrying it.4. When filled to capacity, the lunch bag has a tendency to get wobbly. If you put some really small feet on the bag, it'd prevent this.5. The eBags logs is quite big and well, NOT attractive.

i love it!!!I'm a flight attendant so i pack a lot! And this is just the perfect size, i can bring food for a 4 day trip!! I couldn't be happier.*the bag itself is a little heavy. 😁

Great lunch bag - well not just lunch. It's bigger than that. It can easily fit a few tins of food (about the size of a little gym or school bag) But the best best best thing about this bag is how many little compartments it has. Can store everything from cutlery to napkins to seasonings and sauces and snacks and treats and tea bags etc. All kept separate in case of any spillages. The pockets are mostly all lined too with an easy to wipe lining. All zipped so everything is secure. Handy carry options with a shoulder strap and shorter hand straps. Seems to be decent quality too though it's early days. Lovely aubergine (UK English for eggplant) colour and exactly what I was looking for in terms of trying to take better care of myself. If this is too big for most people (I commute in my car so can just throw it in there and then in to the office) there is a smaller identical version for the traditional meal deal lunch transportation.

The main thing i'm not keen on is that the lining does not fit well.I assume this is related to it being removable, and having the removable insulating packs, but it makes the lining seem too big for the size of the cavity and it's all kind of 'baggy'. it means the edges and corners don't fit well, and i find it a little annoying and aesthetically displeasing.The long handle clips become accidentally unclipped quite easily when putting drinks in the side pockets.I, personally, would prefer if the short carry handles were attached below the zip for the upper section, (rather than being attached TO the upper section as they are) as i have, several times, failed to notice it is unzipped, picked it up, and deposited everything on the floor as the bottom part swings away. This is, of course user error, and i have not deducted any stars for that, it's just a comment.On the plus side, it's a handy bag, nice pockets for carrying extras, and plenty of room inside for even a quite generous packed lunch (I work 12 hour shifts, so like to take a meal and plenty of snacks!)

A high quality cooler. I take this for work and I travel all over too. I generally travel with an ipad when I’m away and this just fits on the top of all my snacks I take away with me. The side pockets are great for carrying my protein shaker and the large centre portion is great for food and snacks. When I go away I am usually away for 4-5 days so I generally take enough for all my in between meal snacks and this bag is great for keeping them cool, even in some of the hotter climates I go to. Think chocolate bar in a normal bag and you now have an actual choccy bar instead of a melted warm chocolate sauce!! What I really like is the top compartment on the lid. Now if I used this bag as a cooler only you’d fit some dry goods in there and all your food in main compartment....but I don’t. I use this bag when I’m away and in the top compartment goes my essentials for travel and all my stuff fits perfectly including chargers and adaptors. The bag is plenty big enough and yet isn’t too huge. The quality of the bag deserves a mention. It’s made out of like a ballistic nylon and just oozes quality. I’ve had my bag for just under a year and shows no signs of wear at all, and I use it almost daily! Stitching is great and an ebags bag is known to be good quality! Having owned one of their suitcases in the past, that is still going strong and along similar vein of showing no signs of wearing quickly! A big thumbs up!

I like the different compartments it has, plus the variety of colours it comes in. I use mine for work and tend to put my snacks in the top compartment and in main one use that for the rest of my food and the front section use it for my purse and phone put one in each zipped pocket and you have one of these in the top section also. To be fair there is nothing I don't like about it ,in fact one of my work colleagues saw it and was going to order one for themselves

I am simply over the moon with this product. It is 'the' must have cool bag because it is soooo functional. The thought that has gone into it's design and the quality of it is second to none in my opinion. I ordered this larger size to take to work after reading the reviews about the smaller version being a tad too samll. I can and do carry everything I could possibly need for lunch in this gem of a cool bag and trust me I carry lots!. The inside lining is seemless so easy to wipe and keep clean, it is also zipped so you can insert a cool board behind and not infringe on the interior space. I manage to get my small square sistema lunch box, my cutlery tube which is the size of drinks bottle, my bobble drinks bottle, my insulated coffe mug, a yougurt a jelly, plus a flat snack pot which i use to house my two little dressing pots...as i like things tidy and still have room to spare. There are small zipped compartments either end, one of which I use unzipped to house my filled travel mug the other for my salt n pepper shaker. the front zip just ideal to house your napkins, sweetner dispenser or any thing else you might care to take along.This is the rolls royce of luch bags both in size and quality. When ever I use it people always ask me where I got it from...can I look inside. Not only is it eye catching but it also delivers exactly what it says on the tin...and then some. Don't dither, if you pack a large lunch this is the bag to get. You will have no regrets with this purchase. I ummed and ahhhed about which one to to get but was glad I bought the large when It arrived. However its not every day you want a big lunch so I also requested the smaller one for my birthday. It is just the cutest most practical bag ever!... I can't get my 75cl drinks bottle in it, however I can still get my travel mug - empty lying on it's side in the upper compartment with my lunch box and my cutlery tube in the lower, it just takes a little more shuffling around. I have ordered the smaller one for my sister who has been drooling at the mouth at mine. This is the best buy so far of 2014. If there was any criticism I would say that the rear non zipped pocket on the smaller version is wonderfully practical and its just a real shame the bigger one doesn't have it! instead it's got the over suitcase trolley handle access that is shown in the picture. I suppose it could double up as cabin luggage but with current stringent airport controls I don't imagine you'd be able to take food on board. but who is to say that this nicely padded bag is not ideal protection for our precious tablets, cameras and digital gadgets....so depending on your use this may or may not be a criticism but a plus point. WELL DONE EBAGS an awesome product! :-D

We love this cold bag because not only is it stylish it's also stoutly crafted and above all keeps food frozen on long journeys for many hours. We also use it regularly for trips to the local supermarket yet after three years there is not the lightest sign of wear and tear. All the zips still work perfectly every time and with the detachable inner lining it is very easy to keep clean.So you could say this eBag Crew Cooler is super cool in every way imaginable.

Just recieved my bag and it looks very well made big heavy zips . Thick padding .lots of zips and pockets .The top flap is a great treat .The only down would be the cheap plastic clip on strap. Would be 10/10 with a bulldog clip

This item is MASSIVE!!! Which is fantastic for two people but slightly too big for my needs. The side compartments are great and there’s masses of space inside! Just get a tape measure out before buying so you’re really sure you need an item this big! Unless you LOVE food and need something MASSIVE to carry about in, I would recommend the smaller model. You are able to take the inside out for a wash if anything leaks which is handy and overall the quality is great.

great quality, this size is a bit too big for a one person lunch bag (unless you eat loads or want to put ice packs in also) the extra pockets are great for snacks, tissues or cutlery

A real lifesaver (and moneysaver) for Crew!I`ve used another Crew Cooler for a few years, and was really happy to see that Amazon sold this one! Crew Coolers are really common among airline and train crew in the US, but quite hard to find in Europe and scandinavia. This one keeps your food cold and fresh and are big enough for up to a 3 day trip!Feels like good quality, and slightly better insulated than my previous one. If you are an airline or train crew, and want a cooler that blends in with your crewbags, this is the one! Look it up on youtube for details, its plenty of reviews from crews!

This is an ideal bag for many things, I bought this bag for food and medication, but can also be used to store cameras, iPads etc.Bag was well boxed up and arrived very quickly, I am going to reorder a red one for the same reasons

At a first look it seems smaller than i expected but then, did a test drive and fit all snacks and food for one day! Very nice colour and practical to carry.On the down side: would be nice if it was sold with the ice blocks. Also, it is a pitty that the pockets for bottles are not cooled.At the end it is a very good bag and fits the need. Will wait for version 3 - it can only get better!

Nice and compact but a lot of storage. Should have more pictures on this to show and advertise as I had to look it up. Well worth it. It's that nice I don't want to use it for work but it is a good enough price that I could buy one again for out of work too instead of my 6packfitness one.

I use this for my food during the day at work. It is very good for storage. There are loads of pockets to put things in and the cold area is good also. It is good quality although a bit pricy but does a good job of keeping food cool.
