Look somewhere else.
As other reviewers have mentioned the plastic clasp suffers from poor design and will readily come apart with little pressure. It is possible to simply pull the clasp apart without depressing the locking mechanism. Look somewhere else.

"That's mine!" - The best part of the Baggage Claim
There's nothing worse than the tired, overstressed crowd at the baggage carousel. Everyone wants to see what is coming close and no one is willing to let others in and there are bags and people and children and everyone really just wants to get home. Black bag after black bag comes down and no one really knows whose is whose until the last possible second. The people aren't going to let you in to check if this black bag is yours or if that one is - you might very well continue to stand there and they lose their vantage point. It's a dog eat dog world.Seeing my bag come down with this strap, though, I call out, "the one with the green 'Mine!' strap? That's mine!" and people will move aside so that I can drag it off and go on my way.Not only is it strong and useful and secure, all great qualities that I'd expect, but it also makes my life a lot easier. That is worth its weight in gold.

Very pretty! Great quality.
I ordered this strap in the red poppy print to match my red carry on wheelie bag. It’s wide, great reinforced nylon strap material (feels like a seat belt) and the clip felt like quality. Easy to use. I ended up sliding it through the side handle on my luggage and clipping in the front. It was kind of a pain to figure out exactly how long I needed to adjust the strap to, and then thread through the side handle. It seemed to hold and not slide around too much which was good even on a solid hard case luggage. I ended up ultimately returning as I had already purchased the ID tags for the same piece, and felt I didn’t need to add the strap for more identification as my bag was already red and not a plain grey or black. However, this is also a useful tool to maybe take with you and store inside your luggage just in case your zipper on your luggage goes, you can always strap it back to hold it together. I would have done so, if I was worried at all about the zippers or if I was taking an older piece. Also, the red poppy print on my red bag translated as more a hot pink cheetah than red floral print. But I love red, and poppies, and it was still super cute.If you’ve got a plain solid color bag I would for sure get one of these. Especially if your bag is black. If it gets lost you can easily identify it in a big pile up, and so can airline employees as well. Make sure to always take a photo of your bag, and have your ID tags attached EVERY time you travel. It really does make a difference!

Glad that I made the purchase...
The agent gave us the incorrect information and sent us to the wrong carousel, but I spotted our bags 25 meters away on another conveyor belt. Really eye-catching. I've seen many straps but none quite like ours, and we're world travelers. It also is holding well against rigorous beatings. I also only like black bags because I dislike unsightly scuff marks seen on brightly colored suitcases. And with every other bag in black, anyone can misidentify yours. I also like the double duty it does to help hold the suitcase together. Going to buy a couple more some before Amazon discontinues them.

Speed up your time getting luggage at Baggage Claim!
I just got back from a trip and these were the very best luggage straps to use for my check in luggage. They securely held my suitcase together on the trip to vacation and not only successfully secured my now bulging luggage but also was very easy to spot on the baggage claim area The pattern reminds me of Marimekko style that I love. The colors made this strap "pop". Most luggage that had straps were dark solid colored cases with dark solid colored straps-nothing destinguishable. Even the bags that that had a pieces of colored yarn weren't that easy to see and pick out from the crowd of baggage. I highly recommend a colorful patterned style like this one for your next trip where you are using check-in luggage.

Weak Clasp - Does not hold.
The buckle is weak, and did not hold when I went to use it, however I was past the return period. This will not survive shipping or a flight, as it would not even hold in the house, no matter how much I loosened it. It certainly wouldn't let me pull it snug. When clasped, I can pull it apart easily. There is no visible defect, just a weak buckle. Cheap plastic.

held up well
i was concerned as a few people had posted that they could pull on the strap and it would release, so as soon as it arrived, i tried to get the buckle to release by pulling in it and it held tight. I just got back from Europe with a few connecting flights and the strap held up well and i am happy with the purchase.

Use to cover the easily unlocked latches on my golf bag hard case.
Well made and durable. I've used them to wrap around my golf bag hard case. Others have complained that they have lost them during traveling because they became unbuckled and fell off never to be seen again. I used black duct tape to hold them in place on my golf bag hard case. The black duct tape doesn't look as ugly as if I had used grey duct tape. The other nice thing about using the duct tape is that the straps are held in place when it comes time to unfasten and refasten them. Using the duct tape to hold them in place also allows airport security to open the case without having to re-adjust the straps to close the case agan.

Patterned luggage strap
Wider than the majority of luggage straps and the pattern should make spotting the case on a carousel easier. The only slight issue is the catch, it's very stiff and because my hands are small and weak, I'm finding it quite difficult to open.

Lasted a trip around Australia & NZ
This strap is great, it was taken on/off countless times and on several flights around Australia & NZ and it didn't come off once. I used a large duffle bag and threaded this strap through the bag straps without any problems.

Perfect
After going on my travels I came back over the moon with this, makes finding your case a piece of cake. After landing getting through passport control and not knowing where to get my case from I saw this from across the room, if I didn't have this we would have been there much longer as both my case and my friends look like every other case in every airport in the world

Looks great but broke on first use
On the first trip it broke and could not reuse it . Bought another colour and that one was ok but this one broke by the time it arrived to the destination ( one 2 hour flight) . Shame cause I was really excited about them

Spot on. Strong, very visible and I don't expect any of the accidental unlocking issues that others have mention.... so baggage staff do your worse..
