Build / QA issues.
It would not power my Rebel Xti. I put a voltmeter on it and it delivers 7.5V under no load which meets specs but fails to work. My best guess is this unit can't deliver the power needed once it is in the camera. I will be returning it.Update: After some contortions I find if you hold it in place just right it will sometimes power the camera so the circuitry is fine but the production values are a bit off. Perhaps this is just random bad luck as the other reviews are positive.

Allright
It does what one needs it to do but the ergonomics and design of it are pretty bad. The cord connecting the wall-outlet to the transformer always falls out. After a while, I had to put a bunch of tape on it to hold it together. Overal, I guess it's not terrible if you need to do tethered shooting like I do. I wish the the transformer was mounted on the plug as well, so you wouldn't have a clumsy box clattering around on the floor or dangling from the camera as the cord is too short : (.

AC Power Battery Replacement Adapter for Canon PowerShot S70 and others
A great idea for when you can't take the time to switch out a battery and need continous power. Nice, long, 6' cord between the power supply transformer and the battery replacement. The cord gets fed through a spring loaded opening that I never noticed before. Intelligent design by Canon.

Works for me!
I needed to have limitless power and this AC power adapter provides it. I am a photomacrographer in a studio so I have more time to photograph my subjects but having the power to work all day without interruption would not be possible for me without an AC source. The adapter serves me well.

Does what it says
I really like being able to use my SLR for time lapse, and this enables me to do it. The only thing I don't like about it is that it feels a little cheap, and the power brick can be a pain when using a tripod. Otherwise it does what it says.
