Good weather station for the money.
This is a great little weather station. This is one of the few mid-price range weather stations that has separate sensors as opposed to the all in one sensors other similar kits have. This gives you more flexibility and better siting of the instruments. Unfortunately for my particular situation, I had to co-locate the thermo/hygro and rain gauge with the anemometer mast on the roof to avoid theft or vandalism as the weather station is installed on a business building. Normally the thermo/hygro and rain gauge are best sited near the ground.Anyways, everything works great! Everything seems accurate and I haven’t had any issues yet with the performance. The day after I installed the weather station we had a major rain storm and the rainfall did require a calibration adjustment in the display unit likely due to its location on the roof. Wasn’t too hard.I also added the WH43 air quality sensor to the station. It’s fun watching the air quality fluctuate with the wind and also helps alert of unhealthy air that might be drifting into our area.A few things I do want to note, the display is tiny! I mean it’s packed in its own little box along with the adapter and the box itself is small enough that you wouldn’t expect anything other than the adapter to be packed in there and I almost overlooked that upon unpacking. Also the screen when powered on reminds me of a medical monitor like what you’d see in a hospital. Definitely not something intended to look good on a living room table. However if you do take advantage of its WiFi capability and the online services that makes up for that. I feel the display was intended for getting the system set up and configured rather than simply displaying the data. Not a huge deal as aesthetics aren’t important to me.All in all it’s a well built weather station for the money. It was very easy to set up and install.

Nice weather station for the cost - bad app.
The weather station is working great (relative to the cost) so far, all sensors connecting to the console, all sensors maintaining generally accurate reads, and the console functions very nicely. I use the WS primarily in a gardening context, so I know the precise conditions my plants are being subjected to. The accuracy isn't perfect - Barometer is less accurate than the other sensors and experiences some drift. I calibrate the barometer with a precision barometer/altimeter, and after multiple calibrations with a little time too I should be able to establish good coefficients to correct the offsets and dampen the drift, which are easily input on the console. Though the console is small it has many features and capabilities that make utilizing and managing the WS easy. The only problem is the app WS View (1.8 rating on apple store) that must be used to connect the console with a phone or other computing device. Sadly there is no free working PC software I am aware of that will connect the WS directly to a PC through wifi. Following the instructions perfectly and getting a final message saying I've successfully connected the WS console to my phone (did this like 7 times with different changes each try) through the app, it does nothing, shows nothing, and the device list int he app remains blank. It would be nice to be able to upload live weather data, but this was not the main purpose behind me buying this and I am otherwise satisfied. For those of you eager to be part of the weather community this is probably not the WS for you - I would recommend a Davis or something more professional.

Easy setup. Amazing tech support. Outstanding value.
I was monitoring one of the amateur weather station boards for a while, trying to decide what PWS to get for a new home we are moving to. Like most gadgets, lots of debate back and forth about the different brands and models: Atlas, Ambient, Davis, etc. What really stood out with the Ecowitt brand was the outstanding customer support and the high value you get with the gear. I was most impressed with the rapid turnaround whenever anyone had any issues noted. I had one "oops" when purchasing some additional gear to add to the station. Their customer support proactively reached out to me when they noticed the gear I bought was not compatible, offered to correct my mistake, and did so at no cost to me! Wonderful! My station has been installed for about a month now. The wind gauge is mounted up on the roof. Rain and temp gauges out in a pasture. I added additional temp monitors for the basement and garage. Setup was very, very easy. Performance seems to be good. I can access the data on the display screen, through a cell phone app (if on the local wifi only), or via a web page once I setup an account on the ecowitt.net free service. I ordered additional temp monitors for the basement and garage. All added themselves to the weather data without any intervention needed by me.Bottom line, if you are looking for a high quality system at a great price point look no further. This is a really nice unit for an amateur weather station.

WORST PURCHASE EVER
difficult to put up. pictures of item show pieces not included with package. the programing is insane. Had to give it to a whiz kid to set up. rain gauge doesn't keep accumulation but rate. the screen is tiny. colors are great. very disappointed. would return it if I could, but the boxes are already with recycling. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

great weather station during first months
at first it worked great and I appreciated a weather station with no cloud obligation.the trouble started when the wind sensor ran out of battery. Since then it does not appear on the dashboard any more. So I bought another one. Still does not appear.Bad software!
