Great Yoga Mat Bag for Bicyclists
I needed a yoga mat bag that was safe to use while riding my bicycle back and forth to the studio. The long sling style bags were dangerous because they would always slide around and get in the way while I was riding. I tried a backpack style vertical mat bag, but I couldn't sit on my bike seat. I tried a backpack style horizontal yoga mat bag by Addidas, but the bag was super wide for my petite frame. Other yoga mat bags I found were very cheaply made and/or heavy. As you can tell, I tested MANY MANY MANY yoga mat bags and I am happy to share that I finally found a keeper! The size of the Kindfolk bag is perfect -- it's lightweight and has practical compartments. The adjustable straps at the bottom securely hold my mat in place with even distribution. Also, because the mat is exposed outside of the bag it gets aired out. The backpack style stays in place and is safe to use when riding my bike or walking (which is most important). Also, the Celestial pattern is cool because the multi jewel tones go with any mat color or outfit.

but I bought it to ride my bike to yoga and it worked great. I have a big mat (the Manduka EKO) ...
I have only used this backpack once so far, but I bought it to ride my bike to yoga and it worked great. I have a big mat (the Manduka EKO) and it held it just fine. With some strap adjustments it felt very comfortable and close to my body. I am an average sized person (female size 8-10) and I tightened the straps most of the way down, so if you are smaller, it might be a little big. It seems well made but I will update after more use.

This backpack is perfect for my long walks to yoga
This backpack is perfect for my long walks to yoga. I love the fact that it distributes the mat weight evenly. Some of the backpacks I looked at had the mat on one side or the other in a vertical alignment which looked like a bothersome weight distribution. I have plenty of room for my thick yoga blanket in the inside main compartment. I love this bag!

Just what I wanted!
I love this backpack!!I was looking for something not very bulky that could hold my yoga mat, a couple of notebooks for school and anything else my kids might need throughout the day, like snacks. This is just the perfect size! I also loved the beautiful print.

Great bag but
Great bag but.... it is impossible to walk around with your yoga mat at the bottom. You can bump into other people and the door easily. Also, if you have a heavy mat, the weight of the mat at the bottom will put pressure on your lumbar spine. Better to go with a backpack that allows the mat to sit upright.

I love it!
Plenty of room for my block, strap, clothes, and it carry’s my mat! Looks just like the picture. This will also work well for travel.

Great if you do Yoga and School.
So I don't have a car and I walk everywhere or I ride the bus. Well I also take a yoga class at my college and still have classes after so it's really convinent for that there's plenty of room in the bag for my water, and binder(s) and I don't have to worry about forgetting my mat somewhere. The only downsideis sometimes you bump into stuff because of the width of the mat, but looking at the design that's to be expected. I just carry the bag sideways by hand when I'm going through narrow passages or down the bus isle.

Great product! Love the Elephants! Remember you are wider than you think, when wearing this.
