It will probably come damaged, just know that before you order.
When I saw this fixture, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for for the space over my kitchen sink to replace the existing fixture. However, the other reports of it coming damaged worried me, but I reasoned that I had never had anything come damaged before and most boxes come shipped inside Amazon boxes, so it should be fine. It wasn't fine. The damage to the boxes did not appear to be accidental, either. There is someone in the Amazon light shipping dept that enjoys pitching light fixtures from higher altitudes. Also, mine did not come shipped in an Amazon box, it came in the original box with a shipping label stuck to it. The reason I think this happens to be an issue with Amazon and not the shipper is that it has happened to so many of these lights and we don't all have the same UPS or FedEx delivery people. So just be aware that the box and possibly the fixture will be damaged. However, as others have stated, the metal is thin and easy to fix if bent. While the product does say that it can be affixed to the wall facing up or down, I opted to put mine facing down, the opposite of the picture shown, and it bends in a bit toward the wall. It still looks nice, but it's really made to be affixed like shown in the picture.Overall, this is a very pretty light fixture and is very easy to install. I installed it myself and I'm only semi-handy. Very nice for the price.

Wonderful upgraded to our bathroom
When we moved into our house we knew it was a fixer upper. Changing our bathroom light fixtures was not the first thing I'd planned to do, but it turned out to be an easy fix thanks to this product. I wish I'd done it sooner! I forgot to take a before pic, but left the area where the hole for the light fixture is unpainted so you guys can see just how off center our lights used to be. Plus they had them installed so you had to twist the entire fixture in that hole to change a lightbulb because it was so flush to the cabinet top. Ridiculous looking and super inconvenient. So when I set out to look for a new light, I wanted something that would look good facing up, and was really excited to find this because the back plate hides the fact that the hole isn't centered. I LOVE that I didn't have to put another hole in the wall & possibly rewire everything. Such a time saver! I like simple fixes that look fantastic, what can I say?! If you also have a problem with the location of your wiring, this style of light is a great option! Seriously, it looks soo much better.I was worried about the lines in the glass as I was hoping to get one with simple frosted glass, but it turns out that detail looks really good. It is subtle & still looks good in the house -it still ties in with the look of other light fixtures we have with a similar cylindrical shape to them.Very happy with this purchase & upgrade to our bathroom!

Ample light and getting the shades installed.
I purchased two of these for my house. I use one in each bathroom. I'm getting my house ready to sell and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I hung mine with the lights in the down position. I used 65W Daylight CFL bulbs which I found more that ample for both bathrooms. I believe the instructions say you can use up to 100W bulbs. One of the bathrooms has a tub, separate shower, two sinks, and a toilet. Installation was relatively easy, except for attaching the shades to the fixtures. I have large hands and it was difficult to get my hands inside the shades to turn the flange which tightens the bulbs to the fixtures. I tightened the shades tight and installed the bulbs. When I turned on the light I found that the shades were not lining up parallel. To correct this problem, I loosened each flange about one turn allowing the shades to have slight play and allowing them to line up parallel.

Great for a light ofer the bathroom sink - or elsewhere
I bought this light fixture when the existing bathroom light died. I mounted it over the medicine cabinet and installed three 60 what (800 lumen) LED bulbs. Most illumination I have ever had.The installation was quite normal and uneventful. The only negative I could find was when it came to installing the glass globes. It's not really a negative. Just a caution for future buyers. The lamp sockets have a metal ring with tabs that needs to be unscrewed from the socket. You then place the globe over the socket and screw the metal ring back in place. The ring is similar to a wing nut. You reach down inside the globe to start the ring and then tighten it. If you have large hands it can be a very tight fit. You may need to hire one of the local children to assist you with this. Otherwise, I would recommend the light fixture to anyone. Once installed, it looks quite nice.

Very nice looking, poor installation instructions
So for $86 this is a really nice looking bathroom light fixture. My only real complaint is the ceramic bulb bases are "loose" and each has a metal ring that I think you are supposed to twist onto it to hold it firmly - but the installation instructions don't discuss this, and the only way I can see this working is if you put the glass shade over the base FIRST, then reach into the shade and apply the ring. This would have been easy to do if I did it BEFORE wiring the unit and installing it on the wall, it was really DIFFICULT to do on a ladder hovering over a sink, unable to even see into the shades to see where the ceramic base was. Still, at the end of the day it looks nice and was reasonably priced so 4 stars. :)

You get what you pay for.
I purchased two of these lights for over the vanity lighting in a house remodel we are currently tackling. The first light I put up had all kinds of issues with the pressed metal nut that secures the glass dome to the fixture. It took me an extra 45 min of bending and coaxing to get it to screw on to the ceramic housing. Additionally, the metal bar that holds the lights was also bent slightly, making the three lights point toward the wall instead of strait up and down. While the second light I installed did not have the same issues with the metal nut, it also was bent. The light looks cheap because it basically was cheap so I can't really moan and groan about not getting a $100 items worth of build quality out of a $60 dollar light, but in this age of technology, I at least thought they could weld the light bar even. As far as function, it makes enough light for the bathroom and looks decent in the space.

Lots of light for a reasonable price and good looking too.
I ordered this for my sister and installed it in her bathroom. The installation was simple for someone like me who is experienced working with electricity. If you’re not comfortable and competent working with electricity you should ask a friend who is, or hire a licensed electrician to complete the installation. All electrical work needs to be properly respected or it can bite you &/or burn your house down around you.

good product, a little bit tricky to install.
looks nice and I ordered it because it's possible to install it off center of electrical box, turning the big nut that holding glass is tricky and needs small hands, overall quality of it is good but I feel it should be a bit cheaper.
